Axl is newly converted, just finally completed and has only been used when we have tested him ourselves.
Inside he’s a really sunny bright camper with running water, LPG heating and hob, a leisure battery and can be plugged in to electric hookup at campsites.
The poptop gives loads of headroom to stand up while cooking and getting dressed and the bed moves up and down easily on gas struts. There are 3 windows which can be opened to give light and fresh air and vent at the top with bug mesh that be open or closed.
Axl has a 12v fridge that can also be a freezer and has 2 compartments with digital temperature display and selection, easily fits big bottles and plenty of fresh food. The fridge lives it it’s own locking drawer.
The heating and hob both run from an autogas LPG bottle that can be refilled at petrol stations so no waiting for it to run out and re-fill from empty is only about £10. No need to swap cylinders over or wait until empty, refill at any time. Gas system inspected and signed off. Heating is provided by a high quality Propex heater with thermostat and digital read out.
Also in the kitchen there is a sink and running water and grey waste which are stored in a cupboard and drawers for utensils and food.
The Leisure battery can be charged while driving as well as at a campsite hook-up or on mains at home, there is plenty of scope to increase the battery size and add solar in the future if you wanted with the current Victron set-up including B2B Charger, Smart-Shunt and 240v chargeing as well as a 2000w inverter with 2 sockets.
Four big drawers provide loads of storage for clothes and camping gear can be stored under the bed.
The pop-top has 3 windows for light and ventilation and room for storing items at the front over the cab area when parked up.
Small chemical toilet included so your ready to go, just provide you’re own bedding!
The rock n roll bed folds flat for the adult sleeping and is full length 1.9m and 1.1m wide
In the poptop there is room to sleep 2 children and this is 1.75m long and 1.35m so they have their own space but it folds out of the way during the day if you want full head height
