Conversion Description

We have reluctantly decided to put our campervan up for sale due to work commitments changing our schedules.

The van started off in life as a Hampshire police speed camera van. (See original photos). We purchased the van from a police auction seller with only 1 owner, we are therefore only the second owner which is rare for a T5 van.

Hampshire Constabulary owed the van until 2020, the van had been thoroughly maintained with genuine VW parts. We have continued this theme and it has been a pleasure to own (even the alloy wheels and continental T32 spec tyres were from a brand new delivery mileage T6.1).

The private number plate was added to continue the theme but the van is an 08 plate not a 55 plate. The original registration was previously on public databases of police vehicles and I wanted it removed and made more private.

We converted the van during lockdown ourselves and have used it for various camping trips both on grid and off. We wanted a good reliable base to start with and not an ex commercial/builders van which might have had a hard life. You do not need to hookup to use this van, you can run for a week in the height of summer using solar only and still have icecreams frozen in the freezer compartment! All cooking is gas and therefore not reliant on solar

The van itself is a rare factory high top, T32 model with air conditioning.

The van still retains some of its original police features, the high Vis on the rear, the marine hatches and polycarbonate tinted windows, electrical hookup, and faint remanence of high vis/decals from speed camera signs on the hatch windows and wording on the white paintwork.

Van Condition:
MOT: Recently passed, Expiry 29th November 2026 (Class 7 MOT due to being a T32, but downgraded to Class 4 due to motorhome use).

The van is in very good condition for the year, it has a couple of stone chips and marks on the paintwork and some minor scratches and marks in locations, something that a tesla would achieve in 3 years!

The interior is in very good condition, it has not lived a hard life and everything works as it should.

It has always been run on 5w40 pd oil since ownership (not 5w30), no expense spared, recent new front intercooler and starter battery.
