VW Transporter T5 LWB T32 1.9Tdi 102hp
For sale is my beloved 2009 VW Transporter T5 LWB camper.
I’ve owned this van for 8 years and have converted it from a panel van into a camper. The camper works really well for my wife and I as a vehicle to get away in for a couple of weeks, and also allows me to use it for bike racing over a weekend, or a day van. The interior has been thoroughly though out, is simple and functional, and is also fully remouvble to allow the use of a van if needed. Theres loads of storage in the cuboards and under the slide out double bed.
It is fully insulated with a vapour control layer and birch ply lined with electric cables running behind in conduit for easy replacement etc. There are 3 usb/ cig. sockets around the van, and 2 vehcial electrical connectors for the kitchen and water pump. Theres 3 LED spots and a second circuit for the halo lighting in the roof. A fuse box with 10 rows is beneath the bed, neatly tucked away. A leisure battery is fitted beneath the drivers seat fed by a voltage sensitive relay from the main battery and alternator. also below the drivers seat is a voltmeter, kill swith and fuse for safety and ease of working on the van. Both the passenger and drivers seat has a swivel base to add more room to the back when camping.
The Kitchen has a gas hob, with a gas bottle stored securely beneath. The back of the van has a 32l fresh water storage connected to a pump to supply the tap. Theres a second connection from the tank to a pressure washer/ shower to the back doors.
I have made a composting toilet called the stool stool, that is detachable and can be used as a seat. This hasn’t really been used, and is envisaged to be cleaned and disposed of after each use. It was included in the design for emergencies.
I will include the awning and the interior window covers in the sale.
The van gets fully serviced every year, usually with about 10,000 miles added annually. I’ve always looked after this van mechanically as I have a lot invested in it and it works great. I have a series of receipts for any work done on the van.
Please don’t hesitate to ask any questions
