For sale is my lovely T5 2008 Transporter, it currently has 178,000 miles on the clock.

Conversion Details
The conversion was completed by a local bespoke conversion company based in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

A skilled team of joiners/furniture makers completed the conversion, their aim was to provide a functional design to the van and this has been achieved on this T5.

Each part of the conversion has been meticulously thought out making sure the best decision was made at every step.
They wanted to provide something different on this van, which is the pull out kitchen, allowing you to cook outside with no effort.

They were also able to add in a full length bed. The van is also ready for hosting with the space to dine 4 people and is perfect for rainy day board games. Once the bed is out and the curtains are pulled you’re in such a comfortable, homely space.

The sofa pulls out to make a large bed, 185cm x 120cm but it also meets the small sofa adding an extra 50cm width x 130cm. This was done to accommodate extra space for a third passenger.

Mechanical Elements:
This VW T5 panel van conversion has had two owners (myself included) since 2008. I bought it last year and have used it as a weekend camper and to complete the NC500. The previous owner bought the van in 2008 from the dealer with 3,000 miles on, so the van has its full history and service history.

A thorough overview of mechanical works have been done recently to the van. In 2022 the clutch was replaced, and in 2023 I decided to have the head gasket replaced by the reputable Cleasby’s Engine Services in Durham (all receipts kept), completely overhauling the engine to give the van a new lease of life.

The vehicle has been serviced yearly and all MOT advisories have always been taken care of. The 1.9 engine is known for being indestructible if taken care of, which this one has. Essentially you are buying a T5 with a new engine!

Van History:
The van started out as a panel van, the previous owner used the vehicle as a plumbers van to carry tools and pipe. It was then converted and it became a camper.

I bought the van last year and have continued to use it as a camper, adding a few more camper conveniences of my own. There are a few stickers one on of the cupboard doors, these aren’t in every photo as they are a recent addition.

The van passed MOT September 23 and all advisories have been taken care of and service completed.

Final Notes
