Bedford CF250P Autosleeper
Patti recently came into my hands from this very site a few months ago – but circumstances have meant I am no longer in the position to keep her.
To sell Patti before I have had the chance to properly take her out is heart-breaking for me, but as things stand, I have to try and move her onto someone who will be able to make the most of having her – I am letting go of a big dream by listing her as she is so unique – but I hold out hope one day, fates willing, I can buy something similar.
Patti had an engine recondition completed by the previous owner:
“Patti had her engine reconditioned just over a year ago, so the mileage on the dashboard doesn’t reflect the condition of her mechanicals at all! She also has a new starter motor and exhaust manifold.” October, 2024
I have had new tyres on in preparation for the summer.
The interior and exterior (apart from the removal of bunting) has stayed unchanged since the previous owner, below is his statement:
“She’s ready for adventures now, although she’d also benefit from a refresh to some of her interior – or go to town and give her a big overhaul to make her your own.
We’ve removed the gas appliances and added more power sockets, we think she runs best on a hookup. So she’ll want an electric hob (and a heater for the colder months).”
My intention was to re-fit the gas, as the original hob is still there and in good nick, but the additional plugs are hugely beneficial.
She is a professionally converted Campervan by Autosleeper – with a sofa/table combo that converts into either a double-bed or two main single beds, as well as two hammocks that fold out with the roof up. These do hold me (70kg), but these are best suited for children or your smallest friends.
A few areas of plastic have perished due to the many years in the sun – but everything works as intended still.
She is an absolutely beautiful van, and will suit couples or singletons looking for something to grow and change with – I am afraid that as much as it paints me to say it, this couldn’t be me.
One double-bed, convertible into two single beds, and two hammocks for children or small friends.
