2004 Fiat Ducato Swift Suntor 590RL – 36,000 miles

A characterful, bright and airy 4-berth Swift Suntor 590RL with just 36,000 miles.

The interior is particularly light and welcoming, having been painted and freshened up by previous owners. It has a lovely, homely feel and is a great size for getting away while still having plenty of storage and living space.

We bought the motorhome in June 2025 and have really enjoyed owning it. We’re now moving house and unfortunately won’t have anywhere to park it, so we’re reluctantly putting it up for sale.

During the winter, we were fortunate enough to be able to keep it stored undercover at a farm, rather than leaving it exposed to the elements.

*Background*

We bought the motorhome privately in June 2025. The previous owners told us there had been a previous roof leak, which they’d had repaired but otherwise had been a solid and reliable motorhome for the years they’d owned.

We were new to motorhomes and were looking for a relatively affordable way into motorhoming. I’m also 6’5″, so finding a motorhome where I could comfortably stand, move around and sleep was particularly important. Happily, we’ve found it to be a great way to go on UK adventures and I do fit in it – albeit slightly diagonally across the bed!

We’re now listing it at £15,000, hoping it can be a good first motorhome for others. We also upgraded the electrical system, including a new battery and associated installation to allow fully off grid adventures.

One of the things we particularly like about this motorhome is that the habitation system is fully electric, with no gas onboard.

During our ownership we’ve upgraded the electrical system with:

– New Fogstar Drift battery installed in 2025 (paperwork for this is included)
– Work carried out by Rhino Installs near Preston
– Battery charged by the 2 pre-existing solar panels
– Battery also charged by the alternator while driving
– Bluetooth connectivity for monitoring the battery
– New induction hob

It’s a simple setup which works well for off-grid camping without the need to carry gas bottles.

** Work carried out during our ownership **

We bought the motorhome in June 2025 at approximately 32,500 miles. Since then we’ve:

– Installed a new battery etc as above
– Had a new oil pressure switch fitted
– Changed the oil and oil filter
– Installed an induction hob

The last recorded official service was in 2019 at 31,604 miles. We bought it in 2025 at approximately 32,500 miles and it has now covered around 36,000 miles.

There is lots of paperwork documenting previous work carried out, along with instruction manuals for various equipment.

**Things worth knowing**

We want to be completely transparent about the motorhome’s history and condition.

– Previous roof leak: as discussed above.
– Radio: The radio doesn’t work. We’ve simply used Bluetooth speakers but replacement units are around £30 in eBay if you’d prefer
– Bodywork: There are various age-related marks and some small cracks to the corner of the bumper. Examples of these are shown in the photos.
– Fuel cap: Can be a little tricky to lock.
– Exterior light: Doesn’t work.
– Heating: There is no built-in heating. We’ve used a fan heater when staying in colder weather with electric hook-up.

We’d much rather be upfront about these things so that the buyer knows exactly what they’re getting.

**Why we’re selling**

We’ve enjoyed owning this motorhome and it has been a great introduction to motorhoming. We’re only selling because we’re moving house and unfortunately won’t have anywhere suitable to park it.

We’re hoping it will give someone else the same opportunity it gave us: an affordable way into motorhoming, with a comfortable 4-berth layout, lots of equipment included and a useful fully-electric setup.
