2011 Ford Transit L3H3 2.4dci
*Viewings* – Starting to book viewings for BRIGHTON from Monday 5th May.
Available until 4th May to view in Kehelland, Cornwall (5 mins off A30, 10 mins from Camborne train station).
I will then be in Brighton from 5th – 20th May where the van will be available for viewings, and could stop off on route for a serious buyer.
Selling my very much loved home that I lived and travelled in full time around Europe for 3.5 years. It is high spec, and has everything you could need to live in full time off grid, or just go and have some pretty epic adventures with. I’m very settled in Cornwall now, and am selling to downsize to a small caddy size van.
*Open to taking a small van as a part-ex*
2011 Ford Transit LWB Hightop (L3H3)
135k miles
New 12 month MOT
Serviced yearly
Have always done anything that has ever been needed as it’s been my home! Van has always been a great runner and I haven’t had any engine issues, and have just replaced things as they’ve come to the end of their life. Previous work in the last few years includes starter motor, alternator, discs and pads, new tyres, full set of injectors, fan belt + more.
Body work is fair – a fair few dents, while I’ve kept on top of any signs of rust patches. Recent MOT inspector said underside was looking solid for its age.
I had the locks professionally upgraded to a high security hykee lock, and had deadlocks installed in the side and rear doors.
Previous life was Network Rail fleet as a welfare van so only 2 owners from new.
Complete paperwork – Network Rail service in-house so well looked after, and full comprehensive paperwork from them, and I have kept all receipts since.
Reversing camera
Rhino Roof rack
Fiamma double bike rack
Electrics
Advanced custom battery pack –
280ah Lithium battery – assembled in series from 4 Eve LifePo4 deep cycle cells
Smart BMS with Bluetooth functionality – entire electric system so can be monitored/ adjusted on a mobile app
Integrated heat pad and thermometer which is set to kick in under 4 degrees ensures battery can continue to be used at lower temps
Lithium batteries can be used to below 10% capacity unlike standard AGM/lead acid at 50%. This means this battery is equivalent to 500ah ish of AGM/ lead acid. It is a huge battery and has lasted me 11 days working off grid sat still with no sun or driving, and there is lots of extra capacity to add in more electrical items.
2 x 175w Victron solar panels

Conversion
Was part converted by myself and my dad, and part by a carpenter
50mm and 70mm celotex on walls, 40mm on ceiling, 25 on floor – very well insulated!
Swivel double seat opens up space, I previously had a Lagun table mounted on the van pillar which worked beautifully as a desk/ table option. Would be very easy to fit again. Bench seat (fridge) is not fixed so can be used as an extra seat.
2 skylights, 1 sliding window above the cooker
77l underslung water tank with fill point on exterior
Fixed bed (measures 100 x 176cm) with little bed space underneath for a doggy, or more storage!
Shower room with hot shower, and fixed rail to double up as hanging space for wet jackets, wetsuits etc.
Trobolo compost loo
Webasto diesel heater
Large drop down compressor fridge
Cadac Pro Cook 3 (quick release gas connection means you can take it outside to cook)
Bespoke magnetic thermal black out blinds for windows in the living area

I have written a thorough handover manual google doc, which also includes device and equipment receipts, which will come with van sale.
One fixed bed that is between a single and a double. It measures 100 x 176cm. There is an extra 10cm gap between the bed and the back doors to stretch out in. I mostly travelled solo in this van, though my ex-partner travelled with me for periods of up to 6 weeks at a time. This was always cosy but doable (you don’t have to be spooning but do want to be facing the same way really) and we always slept well, and valued the extra living space and amenities by having the smaller bed. We are both 5’6 – 5’7 for reference. Mattress is a cut to size Ikea foam mattress.

Quirky loves this style means that Quirky Campers would potentially approve this vehicle for hiring. However, Quirky have not approved a Gas Safe certificate, a Weighbridge certificate, or the vehicle's electrics. Buyers must check these themselves. For some tips on what to look out for read this. If the listing has no Gas Safe certificate, no unladen weight and no electrical sign-off please proceed with caution!
