Detailed Information
Vehicle Description

XLWB extra-high-roof Peugeot Boxer with the 130 bhp 2.2-litre Ford diesel engine, six-speed manual gearbox and approximately 239,500 miles. This engine is widely considered one of the best options for these vans.

The van has an MOT until July 2027 with no advisories. Approximately £1,000 was recently spent on maintenance, including replacement handbrake cables and shoes, two new front front ball joints, a rear shock absorber, registration plate lamp bulb and windscreen wipers. Receipts are available.

The engine runs well. The starter motor could benefit from being replaced as sometimes doesn’t engage at first, although it hasn’t caused us any problems during more than two years of ownership.

The bodywork shows some age related marks and imperfections, as expected from a van of this age, but it is rust free, galvanised chassis. The missing trim above the headlight shown in the photographs has already been ordered and will be fitted before the sale.

Conversion Description

*£10,000 – Reduced to £8,500 as want to sell before we go abroad*

We’re selling our much loved home on wheels: a spacious XLWB, extra-high-roof Peugeot Boxer with plenty of character and a flexible, homely layout.

One of the best things about this van is the amount of living space. The main bed is suspended above the lounge, allowing it to be raised out of the way during the day. Combined with the pull-out double sofa bed, this creates a genuinely comfortable space for relaxing, working or watching films without a permanent bed taking over the van.

You can watch a tour of the original conversion here. Please note that we have made a few changes since the video was filmed:

The van is well equipped for longer trips and off-grid living, with:

* Cosy wood burning stove
* Gas hob and oven
* Gas heater
* Gas boiler for hot water
* Refillable gas bottle, making cooking very inexpensive
* Mains electric hook-up
* Solar power with solar controller
* Victron battery charger for use while connected to mains hook-up
* Electric water pump
* Large fresh water tank
* Grey water tank, underslung
* Sink and tap
* Separate toilet cubicle
* External access hatch for the toilet cassette
* Plenty of storage cupboards
* Large over cab storage area
* Full-size awning
* Beautiful wooden worktop with a resin river-flow design, set at a comfortable standing height for preparing meals
* Separate seated desk area at a comfortable height for working on a laptop

There is a TV with a Fire TV Stick mounted on the rear door, positioned so it can be watched whether the main bed is raised or lowered. A second screen above the desk can be connected to a laptop for working or gaming. The van also has Bluetooth surround sound speakers.

There is space at the end of the sofa, beside the rear door, to fit a caravan fridge. We removed the previous fridge because we found the extra space more useful, but the electrical connection is still in place should the new owner wish to install one.

This has been a proper home to us rather than simply a weekend camper. The spacious layout makes it particularly well suited to longer adventures, full-time van life or anyone wanting enough room to work comfortably while travelling.

I’ve included some photos from when we were living in it to show how it looks and feels as a home. Please be aware that a few things have changed slightly while getting it ready for sale.

Beds Description

The van sleeps up to four adults across two double beds. The main double bed is suspended above the lounge and can be raised out of the way during the day, leaving plenty of living space below. The sofa pulls out to create a second double bed (I would describe as a small double). There are no separate child beds, although the pull-out sofa bed would be perfect.
