Sink into Athena’s large U shape sofa by day and relax into her inviting double bed by night.
Be prepared to cook up a storm in Athena’s versatile kitchen with a 2 ring gas hob, fridge/freezer and a selection of pots and pans. She loves to bring the outside in and is fitted with large windows throughout. She provides blankets, trip planning books, a cookbook, and games to play for those rainier days. Athena’s high spec gives you the best off-grid experience. There’s nothing that you have to sacrifice from the built-in shower and toilet to the 310W solar panel and personal Wi-Fi. Heating for winter and extractor roof windows means she’s perfect for both winter and summer travel.

Descriptions of Beds: Her double bed at the rear converts into a large U-shape seating area, perfect for extra lounging space, working from home or inviting friends in to eat. The LED spots and strip below the cupboards allow for ambient lighting after a long day of hiking, kayaking, biking or just eating and drinking (she won’t judge)!
Cooking Equipment: Athena is equipped with a two-ring gas hob, a fridge/freezer and a full-size sink. You also have everything you need to cook up a feast for 4 with plates, bowls, cutlery, mugs, glasses and ample utensils. There’s also a whistling kettle, small and large saucepan and frying pan.
Fitted with ample storage for both food and clothing as well as a small garage at the back. She can provide camping chairs and a table for outdoor dining should you chose.
Audio Equipment: The front cab features three belted seats, Air Con, Bluetooth, DAB Radio and cruise control, making for a comfortable driving experience.
Water Facilities: Athena is fitted with a 66L fresh and 50L grey water tanks. Hot water and heating are provided by the on-board boiler.
Electrics: Athena makes living and working for a van a dream. Her inverter charges laptop and other mains-powered devices, she has USB ports throughout, charges while driving, has a large 310W solar panel and also has the ability to plug in at a campsite. Her personal Wi-Fi means that she is always ready for anything and has allowed our customers to enjoy uninterrupted Netflix, the World Cup Final, and the Olympics!

We finished converting Athena in 2020 and she has been rented for the last three years through Quirky Campers taking £8,000 a year. As she’s off-grid, she can be rented throughout the entire year which has extended our rental ability.
We bought our first van, a factory-built Adria Twin, in 2015 and drove around Europe for 3 months. We travelled across 15 countries and 7,000 miles.
When we got back, we sold the van and missed it ever since! After one evening lost in the internet, we bought a builder’s van and got designing from our experience of living full time in a van. We feel that we’ve nailed it offering you the perfect off-grid van.
