Beautiful, off grid, gasless campervan

A beautiful, light and airy conversion built with lightweight ply, poplar, pine and a stunning full stave ash worktop. The van is a really good size and perfect for two people and perhaps a furry friend. The van can be parked into a standard car parking spot and has great maneuverability. The two swivel seats really open up the space creating a fantastic layout perfect for relaxing as soon as you park up.

You could go days on end off grid if you wish with a 300ah lithium battery, 360W of solar, Victron Orion charger and the bobil vans hybrid air and water heater that uses diesel as the fuel source. There is also a Victron mains battery charger so that you can charge the leisure battery when parked up on a campsite to top it up when needed.

The chassis has had a professional rust prevention treatment at the cost of £600 using the long lasting Bilt hamber product. The van is ULEZ compliant with a Euro 6 engine that requires no ad blue. This will help with the re-sell value if you wish to sell it in the future. My last conversion is currently being rented out on this website and you could do the same with this van if you wished as it will come with all the necessary paperwork.

The conversion

Fully insulated with 6mm Dodo van liner then 25mm Celotex on top of this in the floor and ceiling. Dodo eco fleece insulation on the side panels and in all cavities.
Treated 25mm x 50mm timber battens on floor and sides
Lightweight poplar ply on the walls, kitchen unit and cabinets
Base floor is 12mm Hardwood Ply
Beautiful Corka Espira tiles on the floor
Ceiling is custom cut 7mm Pine slats with intergrated cabin LED’s
Worktop is 27mm full stave Ash treated with Osmo oil

Living space

Adventurer window in sliding door with blinds and flyscreens
2 x rear adventurer windows in the back doors with blinds and flyscreens

Lounging sofa for wonderful views out of the sliding door/window. Perfect for remote working/relaxing with a removable table.
Warm LED dimmable strip light recessed underneath the shelf for reading/working which creates a great ambience in the evening.

Heating is provided by an Eberspacher D2 airtronic diesel heater which is linked with the bobil vans hybrid water heater. This is an amazing bit of kit which is perfect for off grid living. This can be run on 12v power or 240v when on hook up.

There is a thermostatic shower at the rear under the bed which can be used for a warm, external shower al fresco and free! You can of course turn this into a private, enclosed shower if you want.

Please note due to this being a new conversion many of the appliances/batteries will have at least a one/two year warranty (Victron appliances even longer). If you are wishing to go travelling with your four legged friend a simple gate can be retrofitted under the bed which I did for my last conversion which worked really well. There is also room for an awning on the sliding door side if you would like one added for an additional cost.
