RARE AUTO – Twin Sliding Doors – Bespoke Conversion

A professionally converted campervan built around an unusually flexible modular interior, designed for camping, cycling, outdoor adventures and everyday usability.

The professional conversion was completed by Seaside Campers in March 2026, incorporating an extensive The Ply Guys furniture system. Rather than following the conventional fixed-bed, fixed-kitchen camper layout, the interior uses a clever modular arrangement that can be reconfigured depending on how the van is being used.

The layout takes advantage of the twin sliding doors, allowing access from either side as well as through the rear barn doors. Two Window Pod K sliding windows have been fitted to the sliding doors, providing ventilation and natural light. A blackout curtain separating the living space from the driving cab.

In daytime configuration there is a spacious and sociable living area with generous seating, useful work surfaces and plenty of room to move around. The Ply Guys Schiehallion bed/storage system incorporates foam seat/bed cushions upholstered in genuine Harris Tweed, which rearrange to form the sleeping platform.

The conversion has been fully insulated and sound-deadened using a DODO Medium Van Campervan Insulation & Sound Deadening Kit, with pale timber wall and roof panels creating a warm interior alongside the distinctive black hex-patterned Ply Guys furniture, exposed ply edges and burnt-orange Harris Tweed upholstery.

One of the conversion’s standout features is its ability to carry bikes securely inside the van. Two Loaded Bikes fork mounts allow bikes to be transported protected from the weather and out of sight, making the layout particularly well suited to cycling weekends and outdoor adventures. A single bike can be mounted either lengthways or across the van, depending on how you want to configure the living space.

Storage is extensive and includes The Ply Guys Bruich Storadh side cabinets and storage, Bruich Biadh high-top kitchen/fridge unit with slide-out drawers, CowaBunga bungee storage, NOOKS Board and Thunderbox, alongside the Schiehallion bed/storage system.

The Thunderbox is designed to accommodate a small Trelino composting toilet. Please note that the toilet itself is not included in the sale.

The kitchen area incorporates a ReVace CR50-X 50-litre fridge, preparation and storage space and a Dometic water jug with electronic tap. There is deliberately no permanently installed hob or sink, retaining the flexibility and usable space of the modular layout.

Heating is provided by a 2kW AUTOTERM diesel air heater, making the van genuinely usable outside the summer months.

The leisure electrical system includes a Fogstar Drift 12V 105Ah leisure battery, 12V DC-DC charging and 240V mains hook-up, together with six LED downlights and dimmer control.

A BLUETTI Charger 1 560W alternator charger is also installed, allowing a compatible portable power station to be rapidly charged while driving. Please note that the Bluetti portable power station shown in some photographs is not included.

An Ovano swing-out table provides a useful dining/work surface without permanently occupying the living space.

Externally, a Vanmoose Ford Transit Custom driver’s-side awning rail is fitted. The sale also includes a Vango Faros III Poled Driveaway Awning, Olpro Modern Shade Canopy, Stitches + Steel drive-away awning conversion kit and 15m electric hook-up cable, giving plenty of options for substantially increasing the living space on longer stays.
