Bespoke High Spec Sprinter Conversion

Meet Juniper — a beautifully hand-crafted, one of a kind mid-wheelbase Mercedes Sprinter that’s ready to take its next owners wherever the road leads.

We converted the van ourselves, creating a bespoke home on wheels: somewhere you can park up in the middle of nowhere, wake up to a new view, and have everything you need to stay comfortable for days at a time.

We crafted an in-frame shaker kitchen, sprayed with Farrow and Balls “Lamp Room Grey” with solid oak worktops, a van specific belfast sink, and filtered water on tap. There’s a gas hob for proper cooking and a built-in fridge with a freezer compartment to keep everything fresh. A comfortable double bench with an adjustable table makes the perfect spot to eat, work remotely, or simply watch the world go by.

When it’s time to wind down, a king size pull-out bed with a custom memory foam mattress as well as thick black out curtains and blinds means a genuinely great night’s sleep.
There’s a full garage underneath for or all your kit on the road and this is also where we store a diesel heater to keep you warm whatever the season, and the solar panel battery, gas safe and other essential gear.

Within the living space you’ll find a Maxxfan to circulate fresh air, or extract cooking moisture. Rear and side windows allow you to wash up with a view, or chill in bed with a coffee watching the sunrise. Lighting wise we have both spotlights in the ceiling and bedside lights for reading after dark.

The van is built to run off-grid: a 230A leisure battery and solar panels keep you powered for days, with both 240v and 12v electrics and multiple socket points throughout for all your devices. Underslung fresh and wastewater tanks keep the living space clutter-free and maximise the room inside and allow you to go several days without needing to top up.

It was important to us to start with a quality vehicle that would see us through many road trips, so we opted for a Mercedes Sprinter, known for their reliability and longevity. The van is a 2015 (65-plate) mid-wheelbase model with just 67,000 miles on the clock. Its mechanically flawless and will come with a full service and MOT from Mercedes – to drive away with complete peace of mind. The mid wheelbase is great to drive, and not too big, still fitting into a standard parking space and has allowed us to explore even the tightest remote European towns. Its a 2.1-litre diesel engine with a manual gearbox.

A double Swivel passenger seat opens the cab right up into the living space, and there are three belted travel seats, so it’s as practical for family days out as it is for adventures. For added security we also had deadlocks fitted on all doors.

We’ve had some fantastic trips in this van, both in the UK and across Europe so it’s genuinely hard to say goodbye but with a second baby on the way it’s time for Juniper to make someone else new memories.
