The build;
– The van was stripped, deep cleaned and rust treated/ filled all holes left by nails. We were very lucky to not have much rust at all on the original body of the van. Bulkhead removed.
– Added x2 windows on either side of the van, one which opens. Fitted an extractor fan towards the front (4 speeds) and an XL Maxxair skylight at the rear, 12v lighting fitted in the shade, also fitted with a black out and mosquito blinds.
– Electrical system fitted by a professional. Full wiring diagram and all components were provided by NOMAD Energy, all paperwork will be provided as part of sale. Main components; x2 100AH TN power AGM batteries, x2 175 Watt Victron solar panels, 500VA Inverter/Charger and Shore hook up, 30A battery to battery charger and smart shunt and battery protect.
– Gas system fitted by a professional. All gas components were purchased from Gaslow; gas components; Gaslow 6KG Refillable LPG cylinder, Gaslow 6KG gas locker, Cavagna 30MBar regulator (8mm), Gaslow 8mm copper pipe roll (10m), Gaslow 1.5m filler kit and Bullfinch low pressure outlet/BBQ point (for connection of portable water heater/shower). 2 ring hob also installed. External gas inlet.
– Water system provides cold water only and supplies water to the kitchen sink and a secondary outlet which we set up for a portable water heater/shower and this hooked up with the gas system provides hot water (unused). Main components are 57L water tank (under bed/over wheel arch), 22L waste tank (under the sink), shurflo water pump and Fiamma A20 expansion tank acumalator and Camplux BW264C tankless water heater with rain cap 10L. There are x2 shut off ball valves fitted in the system. 1 immediately after the fresh water outlet and another to isolate the water outlet for the water heater. Water monitoring system hasn’t been fitted but this will be supplied for the buyer to do so. Lockable external water inlet.
– Insulation; DODO sound deadening throughout, DODO thermal liner pro and insulation throughout (floor, ceiling, walls and doors to clarify). Kingspan insulation and 12mm plywood boards fitted on the floor.
– Van walls, ceiling and door’s combination of wooden baton structure and tongue and groove cladding. 9mm ply was used. Replacement bulkhead made up of wooden baton and 9mm plywood also.
– ‘L’-shape Kitchen comprising of 3 cupboards and 5 drawers. 22m Solid Oak worktop. Raised off the ground with feet and removable kick-board to allow access to water and gas pipe’s. 2 floating cupboards and 1 large cupboard above front cab. We built 2 seats; 1 at the end of the kitchen and a larger one opposite, both with removable tops for storage. The larger seat has separate door which can fit a Thermot Porto-Potti 335 toilet. Permanent fixed bed has access to a large garage cupboard from front and back of the van, pull out table accessible from the front (same oak as counter top), from the rear there are two cupboards which provide access to electrical system and gas and water. We created two trapdoors under the mattress which provides full access to all three systems if any maintenance is required.
