Bluebell the Beautiful Boxer

We’ve really loved living in Bluebell the Boxer this summer, but for personal reasons it’s time to let her go.

The boxer has been thoughtfully converted into a liveable space with a kitchen area, seated sofa section and a pull out bed.

Bluebell’s exterior is a lovely light blue colour with black trim. The van is fully insulated and has neat wooden panelling painted white for a fresh look.

The clever conversion makes the most of the space and my partner has been able to teach exercise classes online from the van, thanks to the generous standing room. She’s also worked from the van on her laptop comfortably too, using starlink for WiFi. If you’re thinking of needing WiFi or working from the van then we found it was doable. We can sell you the Starlink hardware for extra if needed.

One of our favourite things about the van is the way it converts from daytime to nighttime, with a large bed that sleeps two very comfortably.

The seating area has plentiful storage and also holds the battery. The van will come with the Thetford toilet cassette which sits under the seating opposite the battery side, in a locked compartment. Bluebell comes with external shower: digital rechargeable shower kit and pump that can be mounted onto back door.

We’ve had the handbrake tightened this summer so you can be confident with hills, and sleeping safe and secure.

There are two skylights that offer ventilation and light, with the back vent above the bed having a bug net and blind to keep the sun and heat out.

The windows in the conversion are all tinted, for maximum privacy.

The garage has plenty of storage space and we have been amazed by the extra storage around the van, including a deep compartment above the cab as well as under the seats. There is a light in the garage to help you see at night and there are extra USB ports underneath the bed to charge devices etc.

The two spotlight lights are touch operated which we love and find really convenient. Not to mention the fairy lights at night that we’ll be selling with the van. These add an extra special touch to winding down at night. There is also a reading light in the corner of the bed.

The kitchen is one of our favourite parts of the van, with the beautiful wallpaper and wood feel that has helped us feel at home. We added the wallpaper ourselves and haven’t regretted it. The draws have fitted magnets to keep contents secure.
The sink has a fully integrated water pump that draws water from the container under sink, so you have running water. There is also a grey waste container for the sink water to safely go into and be emptied.

Bluebell comes with a Demetic semi working fridge that needs fixing. As far as we can tell this should be straight forward to fix but we haven’t got round to it. This has been factored into the price.

There is a removable table that fixes to the floor. We’ve not used this very often but it is an option for you.

We’ve found the van battery is adequate for normal every day use. We invested in an extra power station as my partner was working in the van and this was more than enough. There are plenty of unused ports on the battery set up which give room for upgrades. The battery is charged by the van alternator and the solar panel.

The sliding door works and locks although sometimes you have to click it into place manually to ensure it locks. We have had it looked at the garage and were told that the bottom roller needed replacing. We are open to reasonable offers taking this into account.

We both really enjoy driving the van and I’ll be particularly sad to return to driving my car, as I have found the van handles much better including the great turning circle. 

We were nervous about driving a larger vehicle but we’ve both got the used to it quickly and are confident parking thanks to the reverse sensor. 

The van comes with 7 months MOT (expires 27/3/27) and is taxed until 1/3/27. We have part service history for Bluebell. We’re currently using her so the mileage will vary slightly. We are based between North Yorkshire and Norfolk, so can arrange a viewing near either location.
