VW Crafter CR35 MWB
Vw Crafter CR35 TDI 136 MWB
2011
Excellent condition. Completely original bodywork with very few dents/marks. It was owned by a classic car restoration company for most of its life and so it has been very well looked after.
The tyres have barely been used. The wheels could do with a refurb.
2 previous owners. Part service history.
First owner got it serviced with VW most years and I have the service records for these.
Second owner was the classic car restoration company and they told me they serviced it themselves regularly & I have 1 service certificate from them.
MOT until 7th November. It passed without any advisories last time and has barely been used since.
I went on a trip to the lake district in it last week and was getting 35 mpg.
It also has a tow bar. I disconnected the wires to it when I converted it so they will need to be connected back up.
I designed this van to be as cosy as possible but also very spacious. I wanted a MWB van as this means it can fit in a regular parking space and therefore makes parking much easier when you are off exploring.
Despite it being a MWB van I have managed to maximise the space inside meaning 3 people are able to sit comfortably and sleep in the van. There is also a huge storage space under the bed which would be big enough to fit bikes in or even sleep another 2 kids. There is also loads of storage under the three seats and a large storage compartment above the cab area. All this storage meant I didn’t need to install overhead cupboards which I find makes a van feel claustrophobic.
The van has a copper sink and hob but my favourite part of the van is the log burner. Sitting around the fire playing games on cold rainy nights is one of my favourite things to do.
The hob is gas powered and unlike a lot of vans the gas bottle is kept in a gas locker with permanent copper piping and the appropriate air vent. This means that if you want to apply for a gas safe certificate it should be all ready to pass.
All the electrics in the van draw very little from the battery meaning you can be parked up off grid in the middle of nowhere for upto a week and not have to worry about the power running out. It is for this reason that I use a coolbox and not a fridge. The coolbox is good quality and will keep your items cold for 5 days on one bag of ice. There are fast charge USB sockets to charge phones and laptops. It takes less than an hour for my phone to fully charge.
The kitchen has 2 big drawers and lots of shelves to store your food/pots and pans. The tap is very powerful to make washing up easier and there is a slide out table to eat your meals on.
The van is fully insulated and the bed is a proper foam mattress from IKEA so sleeping is nice and comfortable.
My previous van was listed for hire on quirky campers and I am confident that this one would also be accepted.
1 full size permanent double bed & the seats can be arranged to make a slightly smaller bed suitable for a child or shorter person.
The contact details for this vehicle are no longer available because it has either sold or the listing has expired.
Quirky loves this style means that Quirky Campers would approve this van for hiring. However, Quirky have not approved a Gas Safe certificate, a Weighbridge certificate, or the vehicle's electrics. Buyers must check these themselves. For some tips on what to look out for read this. If the listing has no Gas Safe certificate, no unladen weight and no electrical sign-off please proceed with caution!
