Meet Elder!
The very last conversion from Hedgerow Campers. Built for ourselves and pulling together all of the very best bits of our previous conversions.
Decorated in a mix of natural tones and materials, rich green paint and gorgeous wood, this is truly a head turner of a conversion. Each section of the build has been hand crafted using a wealth of recycled and reclaimed materials balanced with new details and accents. A space that draws you in and invites you to feast your eyes on the beauty within.
We’ve owned Elder since November 2023 and the build was completed in late January 2024. This isn’t a new build but it’s as close to one as you will get.
The highest of spec components built with full off grid capacity for all year round travel. This campervan build treats you to all the luxuries you would expect and more but still has the rustic charm of a cabin on wheels.
We will be sad to see her go but it’s time to move on to the next project.
Based in Braemar, Scotland but we visit Glasgow regularly and are able to travel (within reason) for viewings. Video viewings also welcome.

*Stunning kitchen with tons of storage. Created from gorgeous reclaimed materials including 3 sideboard stripped and sculpted to fit.
*Thetford Triplex cooker connected to 3.9kg Propane gas tank stored in garage area.
*Gorgeous antique style carved 360 mixer tap connected to Frizzlife water filter fed from the internal 70L Fiamma fresh water tank.
*Belfast style resin sink
*Stuning worktop made from reclaimed parquet flooring finished in a rich walnut.
*Rustic green ceramic tile splash back.
*Cream retro Montpellier 12v fridge freezer. 60L fridge and 26L freezer.
*In the ceiling above the kitchen is a Maxxair Maxxfan deluxe roof fan.
*Lighting provided by under cupboard led strip lights and led spotlights in the ceiling.
*Large storage area overcab
*Wet room finished in luxury wet wall panel. Featuring antique style mixer shower.
*Maxxair Maxxfan dome mounted in the wet room ceiling for ventilation.
*Trelino compost toilet (lightly used as upgraded in January 2025)
*beautiful stained glass style panel in bathroom door.
*Glastonbury burners mini cyclops woodburner gives amazing heat in the colder months. Mounted upon copper patina style ceramic tiles and surrounded by copper effect tin ceiling tiles. The true heart of any home is the fire and this one is very special indeed.
*Heating is also provided by the JP Heater combi water and air connected to the main diesel tank. Outlets in the kitchen and seating areas. A third outlet heats the wet room and the 4th is fitted into the garage area.
*Hot water is also available via the JP Combi heater and can be used on the diesel setting, electric or a combination of both.
*U shaped seating area featuring gorgeous luxury sofa style and scatter cushions. A mix of natural tones and materials complimented beautifully by the surrounding wood and forest green walls.
*On the walls you’ll see sunken panels on both sides where the electric sockets, heating monitor etc are mounted.
*The sofa cushions quickly turn into a superking size bed at night. Loads of space to stretch out and relax.
*Above the seating area you will find matching storage cupboards with an open shelf at each end. Again created using reclaimed wood.
*The ceiling above the seating/sleeping area is clad in reclaimed pallet wood. You will never get tired of looking at all the detail whilst lying in bed.
*Maxxair Skymaxx roof light sits above the seating area spilling natural light in during the day and perfect for star gazing at night.
*Lighting is provided by dimmable wall mounted lamps and led lighting in the ceiling.
*At the rear of the van you’ll see the back doors have been clad in pallet wood and the windows framed in pallet wood in an octagonal shape. Plenty of sunsets have been framed perfectly within these windows.
*Close the thick lined curtain that covers the back doors, in the evening, when it’s time to settle down
*Under the seating area you’ll find ample storage both for internal use and accessed via the back doors with the large garage storage.
*Under one of the bench seats you’ll find the brains of the van in the electric and water heating system-
**JP Combi heater and can be used on the diesel setting, electric or a combination of both. Connected to the main diesel tank.
