Elsie is our pride and joy, but sadly we’re having to sell her as we’re moving abroad for a year for work.

With a new engine fitted in 2024 (currently 17,396 miles) and a thoughtfully planned interior, she’s perfect for off-grid living, road trips and stealth camping.

The van began its camper life when it was lovingly converted in Scotland by an Australian couple, who spent over a year transforming it. Since then, we’ve loved travelling across Europe in her, as well as taking her on weekend camping trips across the UK.

She’s good to go – we’ve recently put her through an MOT and had a full service and health check carried out by a Ford dealership. There are some advisories which we’ve taken into account in the asking price.

The van is really well planned out, with everything you need to live off-grid. There’s plenty of storage, including generous overhead cupboards, a double bed (I am six foot and is big enough) and a huge storage compartment underneath the bed with space for clothes, water, suitcases and other equipment.

The bench top converts into an internal shower area and also houses a chemical toilet. The shower can also be pulled through the window and used outside.

Elsie is equally well suited to stealth camping in cities. She has been cleverly designed to carry plenty of water and gas, while generating and storing her own power, meaning you can live comfortably off the beaten track (or in the city) for days at a time.
