Ford Transit
Selling our beautiful Ford Transit 2012 motorhome AS IS. LWB and mid-high roof. The reason we are selling her is because we moved to London so now she is sitting at my Dads house in Wales never getting used. Selling her as is so please read the advert in full.
This Ford Transit was once a tradie van which we converted into a gorgeous little off-grid camper. The exterior of the van hasn’t been altered since we purchased it (apart from the addition of a tinted privacy window, solar panels and extractor fan on the roof), we think this makes it ideal for discretion and stealth camping! Plus, it’s what’s inside that counts, right?
So with that being said, here are the the modifications we made on Fordy:
Insulation (sound and temperature)
Wooden cladding interior
LOADS of storage space (under bed, cupboards above bed, under bench and over the cab)
Fully functioning kitchen space – gas hob cooker and countertop sink with a gorgeous copper tap, which works using a submergible water pump. And lush Moroccan tiles!
SMAD 40L 12V fridge
Extractor fan
Overhead lights
Reading/bedtime lights
USB ports for charging
1000W 220V inverter to charge laptops/plug in other small items
Screen for projector
Electrics are all powered by a 330W solar panel on the roof and a split charge relay, so it gets charged when the van is being driven!
Comfy bed with custom foam mattress
Mechanically she runs pretty well, but recently the temperature gauge does creep up a little when she is tackling a big hill. Hence the reason for selling as is, because we don’t know if/what the issue is.
Her current MOT expires on the 31st January 2022. We recently had her checked by a Ford specialist because she had a little leak. The engine coolant leak has been fixed and the Ford specialist said the engine was in great condition for its age!
£7500 ONO – she really is a beautiful specimen, we did many trips around Devon, Cornwall and Scotland over this past year and never had an issue. We really are gutted to see her go!
