This 2013 Ford Transit camper is ready for its next mission. My partner and I have just completed a 3 month trip through Europe venturing as far south as Cappadocia in Turkey and all the way back home through the Italian, Swiss and French Alps and so you can be assured that it’s a solid runner and equipped for long term off grid camping.
The vans discreet exterior and the absence of side windows means this van is perfect for stealth camping. We camped in some of Europes biggest cities and never had any problems.
The engine runs well, never fails to start and is fuel efficient (we guess around 800km to a full tank). The van also has front and reverse dash cam with real time playback, hill start assist and cruise control meaning it’s just as comfortable on the autobahn as it is on mountain roads.
The van has insulation on the floor, walls and ceiling. We found that during cold nights in the alps a quick 5 minute run of the heater was enough to keep the van warm overnight with two people sleeping inside.
We have modified the bed to turn into a couch which allows you to store larger items during transit.
