It’s with deep regret that I’m selling my converted van.
I have tried to import it in France, but the french DVLA is an absolute nightmare.
I have built most of it on my own, as I have an electrician background and years of working in test labs. I got help from a carpenter to build robust furniture as I didn’t have the tools for that kind of work, and the gas system has been professionally welded and verified as I didn’t want to risk my life.
I was meant to go to Siberia and then cross the ocean to reach South America, so I purchased the best quality materials that can go through big changes in temperature, humidity and salt, and I also added backup plans for the heating system in case I could not find LPG on the road.
I’m looking to sell it to someone who will take good care of it, as I built it with my sweat, tears and blood, and this breaks my heart to think of getting seperated from him as we were meant to travel the world together for an undefined duration.
