Detailed Information
Vehicle Description

Beautiful to drive, very powerful volkswagen engine and easy handling. Excellent visibility from the cab, makes it a very safe and easy to drive vehicle, despite the size. Cruises on the motorway but handles the country roads with ease as well.

Central locking system
Two keys
Rear mounted Fiamma Carrybike 200DJ Bike rack (carries 2 bikes)

The van has been well looked after mechanically since we owned her. She currently has a small oil leak, noted during February MOT, that we haven’t had time to get fixed. It is not urgent and we were quoted around £200 to get it fixed.

Service History and MOT:
MOT expires 23 Feb 2025
Serviced every year since we bought her

Tyres:
4 x Continental Van Contact 4 Season (Jan 2022)
Tyre Size 235/65R16
EU Tyre Label Info – Vehicle Type C2, Fuel Efficiency B, Wet Grip A, Noise Rating B-73dB

Bodywork:
There are a few small cosmetic rust patches, nothing major. We touched some of them up which worked perfectly but does look a little silly (see photos)!!

Conversion Description

Open to offers for quick sale!! Last viewings this week as i’ll be heading back to Europe, please do contact me if you wish to view. Able to be somewhat flexible on location between Yorkshire and Dover.

We are so sad to have to sell our home on wheels due to moving to France! We bought and converted her in Scotland in 2020 where she was our weekend warrior adventure van. We put in 5 windows so that even trapped inside due to Scottish rain and midges, we would still be able to enjoy the views!

We loved her so much that in 2022 we quit our office jobs and moved in full-time with our 2 dogs to go travelling. Over the next 2 years we drove all around Europe, the UK and Ireland. From Scottish winters to Spanish summers, up Italian mountains and across the Mediterranean sea, she has held steadfast and kept us safe!

We built her for simplicity, comfort, light and space – we have both been working remotely on the road and she’s the perfect little office. The layout is designed for maximum space and openness during the day, with multiple places to relax or work, which at night transforms into a very large and comfortable bed.

The Diesel Planar Heater (excellent fuel efficiency) and insulated window inserts keep the van toasty in winter but the white exterior and Fiamma roof vent fan helps keep it cool in summer. The power is off-grid and charges from the van battery whilst driving, and trickle charges from the solar panel the rest of the time.

We chose to use a large portable camping stove (not included) for the flexibility to cook outside and to keep more counter space available. The straightforward water system uses an electric pump to run water to the sink, with fresh and grey water located behind the drivers seat for easy access and to save space.

We included a kennel under the kitchen unit to keep our dogs safe while driving, but this could easily be removed and replaced with further storage or an expansion to the gas/water systems. We built a composting toilet to fit under the bed which worked great (not included). We weighed her fully laden before setting off to Europe the first time and she was under the 3500kg max weight.

Copper push fit pipe tap
Removable interior water tanks for ease of cleaning – large 25l fresh water tank plumbed into sink, additional 10l fresh water tank, 10l grey water tank (located behind the drivers seat for access)

Cooking Facilities:
We chose to use a camping stove rather than install gas and have lived on the road cooking off it for 2 years with no problems! This also allowed us to easily cook outside on warm nights.
However, it would be quite straightforward to install a proper gas stove, particularly if changing the dog kennel area into storage.
