Mitsubishi Delica D5
This van is a real gem; I bought it in 2019 and had it converted into a gorgeous microcamper by LoveCampers that year – they are real experts in small campervans and did a fantastic job.
I’ve had many wonderful adventures in this van, I love it but due to some personal lifestyle changes I need to move it on so that she can continue to roam!
Here are some details about the camper conversion:
Two-seater rock & roll flatbed sleeping two with duck-egg blue wool upholstery, which when not folded this can be used as a backseat for two passengers (and has two seatbelts fitted)
Pop top roof with windows on both sides; there are also boards which can be laid out to use the top as a small berth (or for extra indoor storage). I have slept up there before, i’m 5ft 3
Swivel front passenger seat
240v hook-up
Insulation
High quality durable vinyl flooring
Leisure battery and power management system
High quality, hand-built furniture, sanded, treated and with a natural wood style finish
Removable sanded treated oak table system
Twin gas hob burner with elegant heat resistant folding cover
Small sink, with water tank at the back of the vehicle
Compressor fridge
Camper lighting, flexi and spot lighting;
USB and plug sockets
Propex gas airblow heating, very useful in cold weather (!)
As for the van itself, she’s been super reliable these past years. She got a full set of new tyres in 2023, new break pads and discs fitted in December 2024, and new battery and alternator in March 2025. These were all precautions highlighted by my local garage ahead of her MOT, which she has passed every time 🙂
This van will need a bit of TLC; there are some things that need sorting out which i haven’t yet got round to doing:
– fixing the bodywork on the sliding side door, the door works fine but it’s been dented and scratched
– fridge, doesn’t work but it really drains the battery, so if you’re not on a hook-up then best to use it just as a cool box
– leisure battery inside will need replacing soon
It’s a truly lovely vehicle – drives like a dream, I hope i can find a new owner who will love this van as much as I have 🙂
There’s a two berth rock-and-roll bed; however it is possible for someone small (5ft 4 or less) to sleep in the pop-top roof.
