Introducing Himlen, the stargazer campervan. Lovingly hand crafted throughout with excellent workmanship. We are reluctantly selling after purchasing it less than a year ago as a brand new conversion with the aim to rent it out via quirky. We have only managed to use it once since due to everything that has occurred over the past few months and now our work situation has changed so we will no longer be able to hire it out. This van deserves its new lease of life and with such low mileage on the clock it will surely give a new owner miles of adventure for years to come.

The bodywork is in great condition considering its age with just a few scratches, chips and blemishes. There is a dent on the drivers side but it has been since fixed. It has recently had a full respray so there is a bit of overspray in places but nothing that effects the overall look which is very striking with its unique colour. The van was originally owned by a disability charity so was serviced in house but there is no log book. In November it sailed through the MOT with no advisories and had a full service which I do have receipts for. It is 5ft 11 high inside the van. This older version of the sprinter is super retro, down to the cassette tape player, with no central locking or electric windows, we are sure you will fall for its charms once seen!

I have down plated it from a 4.2 ton to a 3.5 ton so you can drive it on a normal driving license. As it’s designed to carry 16 people there is still plenty of weight allowance to play with. It can also be up plated if needed via a simple paperwork exercise.

It has been re-registered as a van with windows with the DVLA

– A Diesel heater keeps the van nice and warm in colder climates and is run separate from the engine.
– A Lenova tablet is included which as well as monitoring the electrics and gas can be used to watch movies or tv programmes. It can also be attached via a bracket on the back of the drivers seat.

– Extremely quiet fridge which also self defrosts can be locked via a key to stop it from opening on bouncy roads

– The two burner black glass hob is run from a gas cylinder using LPG gas which is refilled from a gas pump at petrol stations via a connection on the outside of the vehicle so no need to worry about lifting and moving heavy cylinders. Levels can be monitored via the tablet app so you always know how much you have.
– The electric sink is connected to a 25L water tank which is accessed from opening the side door and sliding out a wooden panel. Can be filled via funnel or hosepipe with lock fitting to avoid spillage. The waste barrel, also 25L can be taken out with ease to empty.
– The shower is beautifully crafted from solid wood with feature wall and hand made marine wood shower tray, a beautiful feature in any setting. There is a solar shower that is worked by hand pumping water and is fully portable. Can be filled with hot water too.
– Thetford porta potti included and can be used and stored in the shower cubicle.
– Luxury memory foam full size super comfy double bed with bedding included
– Small sofa seat which extends under the bed to add an additional 6ft berth. A fourth birth can be fashioned by lowering the dining table and reclining the swivel seat although this would only be suitable for a small child.
– Handcrafted little solid wood dressing table with porthole mirror
– Plenty of storage as well as a full length wardrobe

– The tinted windows are a one of the best features giving you a full 360 degrees panorama so you feel immersed in the landscape and at the same time giving you privacy from anyone looking in. Every window comes with fitted curtains and ties too as well as thermal blackout window screen for the windscreen and front windows.
– Large ceiling window brings in lots of light in the day and can be stargazed through at night
– 2 x 100ah AMG 12v leisure batteries are both charged by the engine and 2 x 100w monocrystalline solar panels and a Victron Energy MPPT controller and monitored by the tablet via an app or even by your phone.
– There is a 1000W pure sine inverter for all mains appliances and chargers etc
– Also includes fire extinguisher, first aid kit and hammock.
