Mercedes SPRINTER 313 LWB 129
This is our home-from-home Mercedes Sprinter conversion. We just had a baby, so are (reluctantly) selling our beloved van and moving on to another adventure. Weβve taken this everywhere from Lofoten and Senja in the Arctic Circle to the South of France and Italy.
We recently had the vanβs clutch and DPF replaced. The van passed its MOT in October, but we are happy to MOT it freshly before sale is finalised. Mileage is approx.
Kitchen / Living Space
The kitchen has a square Voilamart stainless steel sink with accompanying extendable stainless-steel tap (the tap may need to be replaced). The water for which runs off a Shurflo Trail King 10 pump fed by a 10l tank. We do have a 100l tank which we initially planned to install for longer off-grid journeys but found it excess to our requirements. Weβd be happy to include the large tank for free if desired.β¨The cooker is a Thetford dual hob gas burner which is connected to a 5kg butane tank. There is also a fire blanket and fire extinguisher included in the kitchen for additional peace of mind.
The kitchen countertop is made from grey epoxy resin to give a smooth and clean surface. It is framed by oak beams, which have buckle hooks inserted into them. These easily hold up your mugs and kitchen utensils during transit. The kitchen itself has three main cupboards and three sliding drawers, all on magnetic stoppers to prevent them opening while on the move. The drawers and one cupboard sit atop a Yale safe behind a false panel. The safe is bolted to the wall and floor and is perfect for storing valuables when away during the day or at night.
The van has a Dometic CRX50 fridge, with removable freezer compartment. There is a removable pullout countertop extender on top of the fridge, which is extremely useful for preparing food or drying dishes.
Seating Area
There is a great R&J Camper Solutions double swivel seat in the front which really opens the kitchen/living space. Combined with the adjacent bench seat, itβs very comfortable to have four people for drinks/food when it gets a little chilly outside.
There is ample storage beneath the bench seating.
Bedroom / Garage
The bedroom has a full-sized double Emma mattress, and cabinet which runs the full length of the bed. The cabinet is deceptively deep and is perfect for storing belongings.β¨Light in the back is provided by way of a horizontal oak framed led. This is on a two-way switch so it can be turned on/off from the kitchen and the bed.
Insulation
The floor and walls are all lined with Dodo Dead Mat Hex Sound Deadening Bulk roll. The floor is then levelled with 25mm Recticel insulation boards, which is framed within treated beams. The walls have 50mm Recticel where space allows and 25mm towards the back where the panel depth is shallower. All gaps have been filled with Diall insulation roll or expanding foam in the hard-to-reach spaces. Everything is then covered with reflective insulation to stop any condensation. This makes for a very well insulated space, warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
Electrics
The electrics are in the garage and are as follows:β¨
– 2x 12V 120Ah SuperBatt DT120 Heavy Duty Ultra Deep Cycle Dual Purpose Leisure Marine Battery (240 Amp total)β¨
– 4 x Renogy 100 Watt 12 Volt Monocrystalline Solar Panel (400W total)β¨
– EPEVER MPPT 40A Solar Charge Controller controlled via EPEVER MT50 LCD Display Remote Meterβ¨
– Isolated 240V mains hook-up feeding into a consumer unitβ¨
– K KRIΓGER 2000 Watt Modified Sine Wave Inverterβ¨
– Kohree Fuse Box with all circuits on separate fuses
All 12-volt electrics can be turned on/off via the MT50 display. The inverter can be turned on/off via an isolator switch.
There is also shore power.
Outsideβ¨The van has two opening windows, one on the sliding door and one directly across from the sliding door above the bench seat.
If you have any questions or there is anything specifically you would like to ask, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
The bedroom has a double Emma mattress (W 135cm x L 190cm) and can comfortably sleep two adults.
