You get a spacious U-shaped lounge, large double bed, full kitchen, excellent storage and a capable off-grid electrical system, while retaining a van that’s practical enough to use as an everyday vehicle.
INTERIOR & BED
The handcrafted interior features off-white shaker-style cabinetry, natural wood finishes, neutral upholstery and warm ambient lighting.
The large U-shaped lounge provides plenty of seating during the day and quickly converts into a generous double bed measuring 188cm long, 110cm wide at its narrowest alongside the kitchen and opening out to an impressive 171cm at its widest.
Six privacy windows make the interior feel incredibly light and spacious and provide panoramic views when parked up. One window is sliding for additional ventilation.
KITCHEN
The kitchen is finished with a solid beech worktop, beautiful custom ceramic bowl sink and tall matt-black extendable pull-out tap, supplied by a 12V water system with separate 12L fresh-water and 12L waste-water containers, both easily accessible for filling and emptying.
Cooking is provided by a flush-mounted Thetford Topline gas hob, alongside a 37L 12V compressor fridge with small freezer compartment.
OFF-GRID POWER
The van has been designed to make getting away without relying on campsites or electric hook-up as easy as possible.
A 300W roof-mounted solar panel provides charging while you’re parked, while the DC/DC charger replenishes the power system while driving. Together, they provide two independent methods of keeping the power system topped up while travelling.
The electrical system includes a high-capacity power system, 240V power, USB and USB-C charging, touch-dimmable ceiling lights and warm ambient LED lighting.
STORAGE & PRACTICALITY
Storage has been maximised throughout the conversion, including extensive space beneath the U-shaped seating, kitchen cupboards and drawers, and a dedicated concealed portable toilet compartment.
The layout gives you a genuinely usable living area during the day without sacrificing a comfortable sleeping space at night.
THE VAN
The conversion is built into a high-spec Ford Transit Custom Limited Plug-In Hybrid Automatic with approximately 55,000 miles.
Being a plug-in hybrid gives you the ability to use electric power for shorter journeys before seamlessly switching to the petrol engine when required, making this an interesting alternative to the more common diesel campervan.
Specification includes 3 belted cab seats, touchscreen infotainment, Apple CarPlay/DAB, heated seats, heated windscreen and mirrors, air conditioning, cruise control and parking sensors.
The van has full service history, and is in excellent condition throughout. Importantly, this PHEV powertrain also does not use the wet-belt arrangement associated with some Transit engines.
