Partial Conversion –
I bought the van to convert and live in full time as an upgrade from my previous van, however my circumstances have changed and I no longer need it. As such, I have completed the basics of the conversion (and the most boring part tbh) so that it is ready for someone else to convert however they wish.
Details of the work done:
Insulated walls with Diall Recycled Plastic Insulation, non-permeable so will not go mouldy or smell like wool insulation
Insulated roof with Kingspan 50mm Foamboard to minimise heat loss via roof, which is a main thermal bridge, also non-permeable
Floor fitted with reclaimed engineered oak flooring, hard wearing, beautiful and lightweight
410W Hyundai DG Total Black Solar Panel 25 year warranty
Webasto Diesel heater
Sky light, passive mushroom vent, sliding door opening window, two small opening windows in rear, exterior vents in side panels to aid internal air flow
Pre-wired for ceiling lights (I can throw in the lights if wanted they haven’t been fitted)
Walls and ceiling ply clad, treated with interior wood preservative to prevent mould etc. and painted
