Our family built luxury tiny homes as a business for many years, mainly Shepherd’s Huts. Whilst we have now retired, we wanted to put some of the skills and designs we used into a camper van, as it has the massive advantage of going with you on your travels. The amount of time required to hand craft this van is very considerable as can be seen from the pictures, although viewing is a must if you are serious. When we ran our business, most customers just wanted a little sanctuary to retreat to and in some cases told us that they were pretty much living in the spaces we built for them. That’s what we wanted to achieve here. We have created an interior that you won’t wish to get out of when returning from your travels. So no apologies if you end up giving the house to the kids.

All the systems in the van are straightforward and easily maintained. We used a Tasman stove as they work really well, a Maxxair ventilator that can move 900 cubic feet per minute and a 50 litre two way fridge. 200w of solar panels keep the leisure battery topped and there’s an external 240v hook up for those on grid days. A Stiches and Steel Gazebrella awning allows flexibility of use. The vehicle is fully sound deadened using Dodo Deadmat, and the insulation is Thermofleece throughout. A new Pioneer head unit has been fitted along with a new Bosch vehicle battery. A 5KW diesel heater produces more than enough cosy factor and the 25 litre water tank will keep the coffee coming. An external Wolfwise shower unit with a Dr Prepare shower unit is supplied along with a Fiamma Bi Pot camper loo. The front double seat has a RIB tested R&J swivel seat creating a large seating area with a Lagun table.
