Campervans for Sale Mercedes Sprinter | Bespoke Off-Grid Conversion | 2016 | LWB
Mercedes Sprinter 313 LWB
The base vehicle was an ex-fleet van for a garden office company. It had done around 125,000, purely motorway miles and was well looked after.
It is the 313 model and the engine runs perfectly, 6 gears, cruise control and fully laden it gets just over 30mpg. It’s only MOT advisories have been the brakes, which have since been replaced.
The bodywork is generally good, there is one slight bump under the sliding door, done by the previous owner before we bought it, this doesn’t effect it’s operation of the door in any way.
Services are up to date with only 1,500 miles since last service.
***Reduced and New MOT***

This beautiful conversion has been our beloved home on wheels for 3 years now but as with all good things, it must come to an end.
The conversion was done in 2022 by myself, my partner and my father (a retired civil engineer). There was no expense spared and no corners cut, it was a 7 month labour of love. Every item is bespoke and handcrafted to suit the van, making it very unique.
The main components are, but not limited to:
– The general construction of the van includes sound deadening, ample insulation and foil membrane in the roof, walls and floor. It also meets all of the DVLA’s requirements for changing the vehicles classification, we haven’t done this as it didn’t effect our insurance or anything else we had planned.
– L-Shaped kitchen with solid oak wood worktop and ivory subway tile backsplash, the area contains a Dometic Fridge, 2 ring gas hob, black under mounted sink with matching black tap, 60L grey waste tank, remote controlled Maxxair roof fan for ventilation, 2 opening windows, 1 x double socket when on 240V hook up, 2 x 12v sockets, 1 large corner storage cupboard, 1 medium storage cupboard, 1 large overhead cupboard with extra storage to the side of it, 1 double bin drawer housing general and recycling bins and 2 drawers with 1 hidden cutlery drawer.
– Double seating area for 3 people with pull out solid oak wood dining table, bookshelf, pull out bench that bridges to 2 sofa’s to form a single bed, pull out box housing the portable toilet and toiletries, ample under-seat storage under 1 bench, a large overhead cupboard and electrics cupboard under the 2nd bench seat.
– Fixed double bed with large bedside area housing a 12V socket and a double 240V socket, wall mounted pivoting TV, large sky light for ventilation and star gazing, 2x rear windows, 2 large cupboards and an extensive under bed storage area which also houses the 95L fresh water tank, the BS EN 1942:2002 compliant double 6kg Calor gas bottle locker and the Autoterm heater.
– The water system is powered by a Shurflo, 45PSI pump that feeds the main kitchen tap and an external shower for muddy dogs or sandy feet… or a brave a shower.
– The electrics system has 3 main charging methods, a DC-DC charger, 240V hook up and 320W solar panels charging the battery via a dedicated MPPT charger. The battery is a 260Ah AGM battery that has been well cared for and never been allowed to drop below 50%, the voltage read out is still as good as when it was new. For safety, the system has numerous fuses, 2x kill switches, a main control panel and the 240v system (Hook-up, 2x double sockets, mains charger and a dedicated 240V fuse box) was pre-wired by a certified electrician.
– The gas system is fairly simple, a BS EN 1942:2002 compliant double Calor gas locker houses both bottles, these are fed via a regulator with a pressure gauge, to a manifold for isolating the system, which in turn has 1 feed out to the double gas hob in the kitchen. There are 2 other ports on the manifold if additional appliances want to be added in the future, a gas BBQ point for example.
If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to ask.
1 full size double bed and 1 slightly shorter single bed (Measures 810x1800mm) which is formed via a pull out section bridging the 2 seats. All be it slightly smaller I, 6ft 1inch, have slept on this absolutely fine.
