Tow hook fitted by GT Towing many years ago. Electrics converted to 13 pin in 2026 by UK Towbars this year. Will now connect to 7 or 13 pin trailers.

Full disclosure to avoid any upset…
One of the engine’s glow plugs has probably given up, so there’s an intermittent light on the dashboard relating to that. Four of them were replaced with new in 2021, but the 5th is awkward to reach and the garage guys were concerned about damaging the engine, so left it as is. The engine still starts and runs absolutely fine though and still passes the MOT.
There are some small areas of rust – at the bottom of the driver’s door and bottom edge of windscreen for example. I’ve had some worked on and sorted some out myself. What’s left is very slow moving and I’ve kept it in check with Lanoguard.
Around the rear top of the roof is currently primer grey rather than topcoat where I started some minor body maintenance but ran out of time. There’s a new rattle can of the correct Fiat 628 Grigio Graphite Metallic colour plus another of lacquer included in the sale for if/when you’d like to finish it off.
This 412D, mk1 Sprinter started life as a police minibus. First registered March 2000, purchased and converted by present owner in 2009 with interior fit-out by McKinnon Campers in Crowland.

We are only replacing this brilliant van because our own needs have changed. It has been a superb, strong and trustworthy family camper and then tow vehicle for motor racing. It has covered an average of less than 2,250 miles a year and has always been stored on a hard-standing surface. We’ve looked after it as best we can so it’s in very good shape for its age, but do bear in mind that after 26 years and regular use, it’s not in concours condition. Like all campervans it will reward you for ongoing TLC. With that care and maintenance this van should go on for many years. We’ve even written a comprehensive owner’s operating manual for you!
We have no gas certificate, but the system is very simple and we’ve never had an issue. The twin Calor butane 4.5kg tanks are securely mounted in the bottom of the rear locker and there’s a grilled vent hole through the floor. The copper gas line runs a short distance from there through the bulkhead to the hob.
The gauge on the electrics control panel does not acknowledge the charge in the leisure battery, but the battery is fine (currently 12.7V), it’s the gauge that isn’t. Meh – the power lasts long enough.
We advise only using the fridge when hooked up to 240V. It is capable of running on 12V too, but the current draw is likely to drain the current leisure battery fairly quickly.
Sleeps 4 adults. Cabin area has two RIB Neptune seats with belts, which convert into 60cm x 186cm single beds using the swiveled cab seats for full length. Two roll-up mattress toppers included in sale for greater comfort. Pop top contains a double bed area of 105cm x 196cm.
