Detailed Information
Vehicle Description

A superb, professionally handcrafted conversion in solid wood with quality fittings throughout. Nancy can be driven on a standard B1 car license.

In the past few months, we have fully upgraded electrical, water and gas systems, upholstery, decor and fittings. All current kitchen items (including brand new microwave, Omnia camping oven, cafetiere, cutlery, crockery, pans and pots etc), virtually new bedding, pillows and covers, towels, a fabulous Joolca hot outdoor shower plus shower tent, a Thetford toilet to mention just a few) can be made available by separate negotiation.

As Nancy has been rented out via Quirky, she is fully gas-certified, has a weighbridge certificate and MOT certificate (valid until mid February 2025).
Fitted with the 2.2, 129HP Diesel engine, Nancy is both, spritely and efficient, achieving up to 38mpg. These renowned engines are extremely reliable and can be expected to reach more than 400000 miles. Good tyres all round, including spare.
Nancy is very easy to drive, with cabin features very similar to a car. She has cruise control, reversing camera and rear parking sensors.

Description of Beds: Nancy sleeps up to three people; two adults can easily find enough space in the permanent, spacious super-king-size bed (180cm width x 200cm length) in the back of the van. A third person can sleep on the single bed (60cm width x 173cm length), which is made up of the dining table and seats. Due to Nancy being a high-roof vehicle, there is plenty of headroom for sitting in bed. Additionally, all-around black-out blinds (with nature scenery) should help you sleep like a log!

Description of Electrical Setup: Nancy has a state of the art electrical system to support your adventures, whether that is hooked up on-site or remote off-grid. There is a split-charge relay which ensures all batteries are charged when driving, and two 130Ah leisure batteries with 300W of solar charging capability, enabling fully off-grid operation. There is also a 1000W inverter to provide an amount of mains power (240V) whilst off-grid. There is one double and one single mains (240V) socket outlet in the kitchen/living area with 3x integral USB charging ports which are available when mains power is provided either from hook up or the inverter. There is a further mains socket available in the garage. Additionally, there are 2 USB charging points available at any time in the living area.

Water and Sanitation: There is a 50-litre fixed drinking water tank in Nancyโ€™s garage with an external fill-point. This supplies cold water to the sink via a Shurflo Trail King pump . Water can be heated using the kettle for kitchen use. For the external shower, there is a dedicated water heater which connects to the gas supply outside the van. (There is also access to the main water tank on the offside centre of the van). In terms of a toilet, a Thetford Porta Potti 365 can be stored underneath one of the internal seats for inside use. Alternatively, it can be set up in a separate pop-up toilet tent that can also be used for showering (supplied).

Audio Equipment: Inside the cab, there is a Kenwood dashboard display which provides access to digital radio as well as mirroring of mobile phones (especially useful when navigating with google maps etc).

Type of Heating: As part of the conversion, Nancy has been insulated. Additionally, she has a very efficient 2 KW Diesel-heater which provides the living space with heat very quickly so you can stay toasty and warm during cold evenings and winter adventures.
There are also 2 ceiling vents for good air flow.

Extra Information: We have worked hard to create Nancy in a way that she is ready for an adventure yet offers many features which make her feel homely. We particularly like the cosy feel of the inside, whether you are a couple, a family or friends taking Nancy out, you can snuggle up in a soft fleece blanket and put on the magical fairy lights. You will also find a couple of books that explore life on 4 wheels and cooking on 2 rings as well as “the ultimate adventure map of Britain” that may inspire you to go to places you had not considered before. Nancy’s Dometic fridge has a total capacity of 60 litres which can either provide 7l of freezer space or the freezer compartment can be removed to provide a larger fridge capacity. Nancy’s garage provides lots of storage opportunities. It is 75cm high and over the centre section, it is 1.8m long and 80cm wide. At the rear, it opens up to 1.7m wide.

Nancy’s Story: Nancy began life as a working-class girl, transporting windows and equipment. She was converted in 2020 (during Covid) to enable one family of three to still go to places and have fun. After we purchased Nancy, she was given a lot of TLC to make her the best she can be and meet all regulatory requirements. Sadly, we now have to sell her due to changed circumstances at home.
