A truly Unique 1996 VWLT35 DIESEL 2 axle converted horse box motorhome for sale. A real One-of-a-Kind Character & Adventure Ready, very well loved and admired by all that meet her and know and love her. This beautifully converted truck was my full time home for many years but now she is ready for her new home.
She has been a beast on the road for all the years I have been blessed to own her, VW’s are renowned to just keep going and she is a fine example of this. Yes she’s slow, heavy 3.5 but never falters. She has been lovingly fixed without hesitation with any fault over the years at very selected garages mostly by those who admire and love old unique vintage vehicles. She comes with a pack of paperwork, a rare blend of charm, craftsmanship, and freedom. She’s travelled with me, always being reliable and she needs to be taken on adventures by her next owners.
Her outer skin could do with an upgrade as she’s a bit rough around her edges, remember she’s 31 years old and has travelled a lot. I painted her black for safety when I lived in her, so it shows marks and wear and tear. She has an aluminium body which means that rust hasn’t been a concern, she has a few patches on the front cab and one patch on the bottom of the passenger door. I’m not hiding anything about this gal. She has a list of quirks and she won’t be for everyone. There are many improvements I’d do if I had the skills and time. She has a dent in the top rear back corner which was actually there when I brought her and it doesn’t affect functionality and it never bothered me. She has quirky personal paint on parts, I am an artist after all, but I kept it low key. She has electric hook up point which I never used if I’m honest, she has solar and the living body runs off 2 leisure batteries, the set up is simple and I’d say the leisure batteries could do with being replaced as they are not storing energy as well anymore. Electrics were retired and tidied up by a qualified camper van electrician.

The conversion was completed already when I purchased Odetta, it had been done beautifully, and lovingly used as a full time home. Please see the photos I have provided, it is a unique and simple conversion, nothing too complicated which I’ve always loved about her. Hand crafted, and over the years things such as the tiling and the basic shelving unit was added, the raw Yew tree workshop was a beautiful improvement. I have always valued the space within Odetta, great for yoga and fitting many people in, I find cramped camper vans full of furniture and fittings claustrophobic and not ideal for full time living. Good kitchen cupboard space, high up out of the way and space saving, wardrobe, shelving unit for clothes and under seat storage too. It has an old feel, nothing feels faceless and impersonal, quite the opposite.
A double bed above the cab which is incredibly comfortable with a clean and looked after memory foam mattress.
