The van has been regularly serviced, we did a major service on April no faults were found and everything was in good condition (we have the invoice with all the details for those interested) MOT’d until July and Road Tax up to date.
The van has been converted into a comfortable space for two people to travel long term and short term.
The plan was to make it off-grid so that we didn’t need to stay in camping sites all the time. It has 200W of Solar Power, Charge Relay, Leisure Battery and also has an external electrical hook-up. 2000W power inverter with USB ports for easy phone charging and wall plugs for appliences.
It counts with sound deadening insulation, 50mm thermal insulation with Eco-friendly material that is 100% recyclable, sturdy structure covered with wood cladding and varnished with a satin finish.
Fitted kitchen with 2 gas stoves, sink with hot and cold water, cupboards and mini fridge.
For heating a Cubic Mini wood burning stove is installed, the unit is placed on top of ceramic tiles and protected with a staileness steel shield, enough storage for firewood has been left under for convenience. We have also installed a carbon monoxide and smoke alarm system and a fire extinguisher for safety.
The sofa bed is perfect for day and night use since it can be extended or folded depending on the desired use.
The storage unit has a live edge wood piece hand made counter top and a 50L water tank stored underneath for the shower.
The shower/toilet area has a camping shower and composting toilet that we found works pretty well for us during travels.
The is a closet for hanging clothes and also 3 overhead storage units.
The passenger seat can be turned as it has a swiveling system.
Dinning area with a removable table that can be tuck away after use.
2 wide side windows allow natural light to come in but the van also has 6 white LED lights on the ceiling.
The trunk has enough storage area for 2 folding bikes or 1 normal road bike, it also serves as storage for the 7KG gas bottle and extra space for bits and bobs.
