Vehicle Description

Experience the ultimate off-grid living with “Woody” – a beautifully converted VW LT horsebox with power steering that exudes a “log cabin” style. This camper van is perfect for Adventurous couples seeking a weekend getaway or a week-long adventure to escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. It is also an ideal option for those who want to escape the cost of living crisis and enjoy free electricity and cheap gas. Full-time living was what she was built for and festivals in mind. With “Woody,” changing scenery has never been easier. Guaranteed to make you feel like you’re in your own log cabin in the woods.

The wood-lined interior of this horsebox camper is crafted with love and care, using reclaimed wood from a 1920s church hall, providing a spacious and bespoke studio feel. The separate living and sleeping areas offer ample space to chill out and do your own thing. And let’s not forget the separate bathroom with a flush toilet for added convenience.

One of the most notable features of “Woody” is the side deck, providing an absolute godsend in good weather and drawing loads of attention to the horsebox. And when the weather turns chilly, fear not, because “Woody” has got you covered. The genuine full-sized wood burner with a double-skinned chimney flue adds warmth and cosiness to the living space and a calming view of the flames through the glass door. Old-style Vanessa cooker with an oven, grill, and two-burner hob provides ample cooking options, you’ll never go hungry or cold. The brand-new compressor fridge and freezer provide enough space for your food and drinks. Compressor fridges draw less power and operate with less noise.

With seven windows, heaps of light, and a 12V LED feature lighting system with recessed ceiling lights that can glow blue at night, “Woody” creates a calming and relaxing atmosphere. Additionally, the reading light in the bedroom and USB ports at the bed and 12V control box run off the leisure battery, allowing you to stay connected even while off-grid.

The conversion is designed for maximum lightness and space, allowing for off-grid living and use as a studio. Included is the BLUETTI Portable Power Station with AC Outlets (built-in inverter sine wave for use with computers), 45W Type-C (charge a Macbook, laptop), USB Type B, and Solar Generator for taking in the 175w solar panel charge.
Ensure that you’ll never run out of power, no matter where your adventures take you.

Spit charger charges while driving. I use for the lights mostly as in my experience leisure batteries just go dead if heavily pressed. Lithium can be dropped to zero and back again like a phone with no loss. The electrics provide a basic set-up with room to add the circuits you desire for your need.

This is portable so can be taken outdoors too for the beach etc. Also can charge at home before the trip or from the Camper’s cigarette lighter socket whilst driving. The Thetford flush swivel toilet is new, and the cassette system is accessed externally from the outside locker. Blinds have been fitted to windows for privacy, and a cutlery drawer and overhead cabinets provide ample storage.

The van has a brand-new mattress still in the wrapper, and an over-the-cab double bed provides a comfortable sleeping space. Sleeps four. Underneath the bed is a large storage area, and a lockable outside storage locker is available for tools, etc. The gas bottle is accessed from its lockable outside locker too, and a real ceramic Belfast sink, handmade Mexican tiles, and solid oak floor add to the camper’s charm. A fixed table has been added with a take-off leg, making dining and working convenient. Sony Bluetooth stereo syncs automatically to your phone for playing tunes and taking calls. For those rainy days or chilled evenings.

“Woody” is powered by a 2.4 litre diesel engine with a 5-speed manual gearbox. It starts first time, drives and runs well, and is quite economical. The engine is in great condition for its age and drives smoothly. Hums along happily at 60-65mph and gives decent fuel economy. Three passenger seats up front with seat belts with easy access to the back. The last MOT only failed on a backlight, which was replaced immediately. The chassis is solid, has never been welded, and is completely undersealed with waxoil protection, keeping it like new for decades to come. Locker on the side of the van is good for tools etc. Bodywork in great condition and newly painted.

With its unique features and beautiful design, “Woody” is the ideal camper van for those seeking an off-grid living experience, a weekend getaway, or a week-long adventure. Don’t miss your chance to own this full-time off-grid home

This camper was going to be my dream full-time off-grid home but due to a change in circumstances, I am sadly now selling her. She was ready for a Portugal trip next month too. Need to sell and a new owner to take care of her.. Just back from a Scotland trip. FULL YEARS MOT NO ADVISORIES. NEVER BEEN WIELDED. LAST MOT WAS A BULB OUT.
