Beautiful LDV Luton Van conversion, fully equipped and perfect for 3 people to travel, sleeps 5. 95% complete, just needs to be customised to the owners’ preference.
The conversion is capable of being fully off-grid for extended periods. The build is done to a high quality with oak composite floors, hidden trap doors, retractable wardrobes, and amazing attention to detail in the design. From the outside, it is completely stealth – as park-up rules change, you will have no trouble staying overnight as you look exactly like a furniture removal van.

Fitted with a Votronic back-to-back battery charger and a split relay enabling the batteries to be charged by the engine., 450w of solar power leading to 2no 100ah leisure batteries, 650w inverter, and Epever control panel. There is Celotex insulation board throughout the build along with expanding foam and reflective tape. Suitable for year-round use, with a 5000w heater that is connected directly to the diesel tank. The roof has a roof fan for ventilation and 4 skylights of varying sizes. Lighting is provided by 5 x 12v spotlights, and 2 x 12v adjustable reading lights above the bed area – a very cosy alcove. Power outlets include a 12v socket, 2 USB points, and 2 x 240v sockets in the kitchen.

The kitchen area is fitted with a 2 burner gas hob, a 12v fridge, a Sureflow 12v cold water pump, a full-sized oven, a full-sized sink, and a beautifully tiled backsplash. The exposed copper pipes glance beautifully off the light and a drinking water filtering unit is placed in between them. There are 3 wall-mounted cupboards, 2 base units, and a drawer for kitchen storage. A carbon monoxide alarm is located above the gas locker and is finished in pine with an exquisite 1950s mahogany countertop. There are two plumbed and fitted 105-liter freshwater tanks and one 105-liter grey water tank underslung. The living area contains an L-shaped sofa which expands into a second double bed. It also includes a bespoke set of cushion pads professionally upholstered. Next to the living area, the Woodburner provides good heat and a calming view of the flames through the glass door. The trap door opens up “basement” or underfloor storage where we keep our logs or sneak people into festivals! The second trap door next to the kitchen and bathroom is used for storing refuse and accessing the waste water tank.

The back of the van is glowing with pine and gives a wonderfully cosy cottage feel when coming home. We intentionally put windows in the roof and not the sides to increase the stealth factor. We are able to park-up anywhere without disturbance. Furthermore, having the sky for a view is far better than a car park and when we were at the beach or a campsite we always opened the back door. This rare layout has enabled us to go anywhere in the van without getting the dreaded knock!

The bathroom is ingeniously hidden under a wardrobe on wheels which rolls out to reveal it. Currently, it is off its sliders and will need a new rail to be installed to get the slide in motion. (A quick job). This provides excellent space economy and adds to the Feng shui of the place as the bathroom, kitchen, and shower are largely separated like in a normal house. The shower is completely plumbed in and the gas boiler (located above the sink) provides hot water in seconds.

The van was in the final stages of completion when we were called back to the big smoke and we are looking for an individual or family who wants to make this van their own with the final finishing touches. If you want all the fun of interior design and the last few jobs without having to worry about any of the electric, water, or gas systems, cladding, insulation, or equipment installations, then this is the van for you either as a full-time live aboard or as a camper for long or short off-grid or hooked trips down to Cornwall or the continent!

Beds Description

In the second story of the van above the cab, we have the main bed – a full-sized double. One of us is 6 foot 5″ and we still have room to lie completely flat sideways.
Below, we have the sofa that folds out into a double bed. We then use two camp beds for extra quests. This has fit us comfortably and made for some epic trips down to Bristol and the West Country!

Main Bed Length
210cm
