Overlander 4x4 Camper Pod Trailer

Here i have my Overlander Camper pod,

Professionally built from the ground up.

Built using a Mitsubishi 2018 l200 rear axle, completely refabricated for purpose and replaced both wheel bearings. Brand new up rated leaf springs and Terrafirma shocks.
Gun metal grey 16″ shogun alloys fitted with new General Grabber X3 tyres.
Chassis was fabricated by myself and has 2 shackles fitted to the rear, the chassis has been designed so that if stuck, the entire rig including attached vehicle can be towed via the 2 shackles.

The pod itself is made from marine ply and covered in fiberglass resin. Then painted with Raptor 2k paint. alloy chequered for strength and also protection. the pod is insulated and paneled inside to the highest slandered. also sound proofed to keep the out side noises OUTSIDE. fitted with a 130ah AGM leisure battery and 2 x solar panels on the roof totaling 220w charging. solar has a MPPT controller with remote screen fitted within the pod. I’ve never had to charge the battery via mains as found the solar setup to be more than sufficient.

Inside the pod:

32″ 12v LED tv
Android TV box to give access to internet and portable hard drives etc
SNIPE 3 automatic satellite system fitted. which gives freesat where ever you are with the push of a button. self aligning. links below.
8kw Desal heater
Kuma 4g mobile internet connectivity. Just install sim and your good to go. I’ve never been anywhere where i haven’t got signal. great for Netflix, YouTube on the tv etc
240v hook up with double socket. (I have a petrol generator in my 4×4
Dimmable remote 12v internal lights.
Reading lights both sides above headboard area.
USB charging sockets located front and rear.
12v cigarette ports also fitted for auxiliary devices.
Drop down table.
Shelfs both front and rear of pod for more storage.
Extractor fan, also doubles as blower, fitted in roof
2 aux internal fans for the hotter days if needed
Blackout blinds.
2 windows. One panoramic and one small Both fitted with brand new seals,
Coach built door that locks with a key or from the inside via handle. also insulated and water tight.
10″ touch screen media center fitted with 4 speakers. also has USB connectivity fitted to plug in hard drive etc
Tablet/phone mount fitted .
6 inch memory foam king size matters (very combatable)

Outside the pod.

2 x Fiamma F45s wind out awnings one each side. both immaculate.
Rear 1.4 x 2m 4×4 awning with additional room that has multiple doors and windows and detachable floor via zip all of which is made of a heavy canvas. not cheep tent material.
the room has been used once so as new.

Solar shower on the rear which can be pressurised via connected 12v pump.
drinking water storage upfront inside an aluminium water tight storage box that also houses
the diesel heater, 12v electric fuse box and isolator switch. WIFI antenna, cycle carrier on top
10ltr diesel tank for the diesel heater and solar controller. Basically the box on the front is the brains
of the pod.
On the roof is 2 x solar panels totalling 220w storage tube for fishing rods etc or other things.
Roof rack for extra storage or roof box etc
12v 4×4 LED flood lights fitted all round so that when off grid you can flood light 360 degrees.
Snipe 3 automatic satellite dish controlled via set top box within the pod. 1 button to setup and 1 button to make it close its self away for transit.

there is a drop down table both sides of the pod that fold away securely when in transit.
Led lights above door and one above side table. The side table i used as my stove table and housed a 2 burner stove easily. splashback fitted to protect the pod form heat etc.

The pod is completely water tight due to the fiberglass and the raptor 2k paint. I’ve been out in torrential rain in this pod and when the blinds are closed you wouldn’t know due to sound deadening.

This pod attracts a lot of attention when I’m away and TBH I’m sorry to see it go. I built it 3 years ago with no expense speared but due to starting a new project. i need to free up some cash. Hence sale.

The pod is fitted with a tracker. independent to the leisure battery. so the pod can be tracked at all times.
The hitch locks and also has a heavy duty chain fitted to the tow arm that can be locked to your vehicle as well.

The pod has everything needed to give you the best experience regardless of weather of surrounding.

It tows exceptionally well and can cruse at 70mph easily on the motorway. TBH you wouldn’t know it was there.

The pod is fitted with a rear view camera. screen would have to be fitted to your vehicle to make use of it. i have a 7 inch screen in my 4×4 on a switch so i use it as a rear view mirror.

Please note Everything works and everything is as new. i built this pod and i have maintained it throughout.

It takes less than 3 minuets to setup. Turn on satellite, and by the time its found the signal the 3 awnings are up and room attached.

There is a step below the door to aid getting in or there is a detachable ladder on the side that locks in place below the door. This is used by my 8 year old child to get in and out.

You will not find another like this. this is not a flimsy trailer chassis or caravan chassis. This has been built from the ground up with one thing in mind. To take it to places where you normally cant go. I’ve been all over Scotland, wales and local beaches and I’ve never had a bad experience.

I can delivery the pod nation wide however arrangements will need to be made 1st as charges will apply depending on the miles.

i based the pod of the very popular Overlander trailers from the states. When pricing them up, they where averaging $18,000 for a bare unit without shipping.
