Vehicle Description

Euro 6 Compliant Diesel – 2.3L Engine

White Movano conversion in excellent condition. MOT until 28/09/2022. Receipts showing FSH. 4 new Michelin Agilis Cross Climate tyres, barely worn. 6-speed gearbox. Very robust, solid vehicle that’s excellent to drive and very manoeuvrable considering its size. Bodywork in very good condition. Haven’t tried to get it re-registered as a camper as only just finished the conversion and now selling.

Conversion Description

I converted the van myself late last year with the intention of doing a lot of travelling but my circumstances have changed and I need to be in one place for a while. So rather than the van just sitting around, I have decided to sell it. As I live off-grid in a yurt, I designed the van to be adaptable so that things can be used in more than one space.

The van comes with a Jackery 1000 Explorer portable power station with 2 fold away 100W solar panels and insulated carry bag. as I didn’t want to have electrics permanently in place in the van. Having portable solar panels also means that when it’s hot, you can park your van in the shade but still charge the Jackery.

Also included is a portable 2-ring gas hob that can be used in the van and elsewhere too. It comes with a carry bag and a grill pan and fry pan that fit over the burners. Plus a 3 can gas cartridge holder with carry bag.

A Yeti Tundra 365 Coolbox which keeps things cold for 3-10 days depending on outdoor temperatures. I’ve built this into its own space beneath the bed and it slides out to open it.

The double bed has a custom-made memory foam mattress (extra firm). I’m 5’9” and I sleep comfortably in the space and there’s plenty of room for two.

I installed an Outbacker wood burning stove which has fire-proof boards beneath it and at the back, as well as double insulated flue pipes. It’s a 3KW stove that heats up very quickly using good dry wood. You’ll be warm in no time. I’ve used it for cooking my meals on too.

I used the best quality sound-deadening and thermo acoustic insulation made by DoDo to line the van and also recycled plastic bottle insulation on the walls and ceiling. The floor is sound-deadened and insulated too with heavy-duty ply on top of that. Then it’s covered in hard-wearing black vinyl.

I installed three Dometic windows, which are really excellent quality and can be opened in the rain. They have blackout blinds and fly screens. There’s a small roof light above the bed, which can be partially opened when it’s raining too. And also has a fly screen and black out blinds. There are black cab-dividing curtains too.

There’s absolutely tons of storage. In the cab alone there’s 110 litres of space under the seats and in the glove box and so on. In the back, above the cab there’s a huge space lined with soft carpet. There’s a work surface made of a beautiful piece of natural-edge timber (Cedar of Lebanon) over a large storage space that has 3 doors opening into it. Plus, there are carpet covered storage shelves on both sides for all smaller bits of gear. Under the bed, accessible from the rear doors, is a garage space. In the centre is has tie-down points, which I used to tie down the compost loo, and to the sides are extra-long storage space for my yurt canvas but which would be excellent for fishing gear, skis or big camping chairs.

There are a couple of box seats that you can just chuck a cushion on.

I’ve not had the opportunity to use it as much as I would’ve liked, which is a real shame as it’s a great space to be in. The partial carpet lining and wood panelling give it a lovely warm feeling.

Best to email or leave a voice message if you call as signal is intermittent where I live. Delivery is possible.

If you don’t want the Jackery, solar panels and gas hob then the price can be adjusted.
