Vintage VW off-grid Tiny Home, Professional Eco-build, Removable Body

This is a very special, unique truck!
She is actually a flat bed truck with a seperately built, removable body on the back. She comes with legs, which slot into the side and jack the body up. This means that you can leave your home standing and drive the truck around on its own. It also means the truck can be swapped for another should you so wish.

An eco, fully breathable construction means that the inside of the truck is never damp. She smells of her cedar cladding and is light and airy.
The box is built with a 1” box section steel frame. Constructed with high-quality, breathable, waterproof membrain and insulated with welsh sheeps wool and organic, unbleached cotton canvas.

There are three professionally made, bespoke double glazed, oak windows, with lead flashing. Plus a sky light above the kitchen, so lots of natural light.

Inside, it boasts a full sized double bed and plenty of storage. The kitchen has three gas hobs and a Thetford oven/grill. There is a good sized sink and two tap options; one which can be hooked up to mains by a hose, and the other which works on a 12v pump, straight from a water container inside.

There is a lovely little Windy Smithy woodburner with space for log storage. I can tell you from experience that this heats up the space in no time! You can keep the fire going all night and wake up cosy, even on a wet winter’s morning.
The space is warm, peaceful and calm.

There is a large solar pannel on the roof, which keeps the battery bank and 12v system going. There is also an epever inverter, and an array of high quality LED lights, some functional, some atmospheric.

It comes with a set of sturdy back door steps for anyone wanting to keep the truck somewhere a bit more permanent.

This was my home for 4 years, both in Snowdonia and Cornwall. I have loved living in her. She is a magical space and would make a perfect tiny home for someone else, a unique airbnb, or wonderful private, creative studio. There is nothing else like this on the market – a one-of-a-kind design and idea, built with love, and longevity in mind.
