After more than two years of owning and LOVING it, we’re selling our VW T6 camper as we’re changing vehicle style and moving across to a Cargo.
It’s a 2018 Volkswagen Transporter T6 T32, 2.0 TDI 150PS, DSG automatic, short wheelbase, with just over 100,500 miles, Mileage will increase slightly as it’s still being used.
The van started life with the RAC and has a maintenance history through them, which can be requested from RAC. We bought it via a garage just over two years ago.
Since its RAC days it has undergone a substantial camper conversion in two stages, initially with **Bristol Camper Company**, with the conversion later completed by **West Coast Customs in Somerset**.
Camper conversion:
The rear has a U-shaped seating and dining area, which converts into a double bed.
Above is a Skyline panoramic pop-top, providing another double sleeping area, making it a genuine 4-berth setup.

The front has three belted seats, with a single driver captain’s seat and double passenger bench. The passenger bench swivels around to become part of the living space when parked.
It also has Air Conditioning, which was something we specifically wanted when buying it and is a very useful feature on a converted Transporter.
Externally it has 19-inch alloy wheels with decent tyres and a rear tailgate rather than barn doors.

We’ve owned it for over two years and it has been a brilliant van. We’re not selling because of any problem with it, we’re simply changing the type of vehicle we want next.
As we imagine the first person to see it will want it, here are a couple of things that we have shown in the last 3 or 4 photos:
It isn’t a brand-new show van and it has been used, so there are some age-related cosmetic marks.
The photos show there is a small dent beneath the rear number plate, rusting to the bottom of the tailgate, a dent/mark to the driver’s door trim, and the fuel filler flap/panel has some touch up marks. There are also a few small scuffs and marks around the van, and there is a slight colour variation on part of the bumper that is more noticeable in certain light.
None of these have bothered us in use, but we’d rather point them out properly rather than someone travelling to view it expecting a flawless eight-year-old van.
The roof solar panel is fitted but currently needs reconnecting.
The V5 still records the vehicle as a **Light Goods Vehicle**, as opposed to the body type having been changed to Motor Caravan following the conversion.
