With the impact of the environment in mind, the van has been insulated throughout using Diall insulation role, which is made from recycled plastic. It also boasts a solar panel to ensure it can truly be used off grid. The van has ample storage space with compartments beneath the bed and above the bulk head. The storage space to the rear of the van also has a handy built in light.
Description of Seating: Ziggy has 3 belted seats; 1 driver and 2 x passengers. There are two fixed seats in the living area which double up as storage compartments. One of the seats has been designed to fit a portable toilet (included). There is also a pull out wooden dining table.
Kitchen: High spec Dometic fridge with freezer compartment, which can run off both mains and leisure battery. Ziggy has a 2 ring Thetford gas hob set up which runs off of a propane gas cylinder. The gas safety certificate was renewed in May.
Electrics: Ziggy is fully kitted out with respect to electrical set-up. Featuring a 110 Ah battery, a solar panel for charging the battery off-grid and a mains electrical hook up. There are also multiple USB charging points located next to the bed to keep gadgets charged. There are also 13 amp plug sockets which run through a mains distribution board for use when connected to mains hook up. Spotlights are located within the ceiling and can be operated independently for the living and sleeping areas. The switches are within easy reach of the bed.
Water Facilities: Water is provided through a stylish brass tap into a Moroccan style bowl via an electrical water pump. Fresh water and grey water tanks are located underneath the sink; both of which are 25L.
Conversion Story: Ziggy was originally bought to be used as a beer delivery van. In 2020 a smaller van was bought for beer delivery and Ziggy was due to be sold on until one fateful evening Ziggy’s owner, his wife and their friend were in the pub in Brixton and the idea of converting Ziggy into a camper was born. They set up a business ‘Effra campers’ and christened the previously unnamed van Ziggy. Effra Campers as they came up with the idea in Brixton above the river Effra and Ziggy after one of Brixton’s most famous residents, Ziggy Stardust.
Ziggy sleeps 2 adults in a fixed double bed 170cm long and 130cm wide.

Quirky loves this style means that Quirky Campers would approve this van for hiring. However, Quirky have not approved a Gas Safe certificate, a Weighbridge certificate, or the vehicle's electrics. Buyers must check these themselves. For some tips on what to look out for read this. If the listing has no Gas Safe certificate, no unladen weight and no electrical sign-off please proceed with caution!
