Detailed Information
Vehicle Description

We bought “Big Jim” as an empty chasis in 2021 and had it beautifully renovated by the talented craftsmen at Demaus and Marsden (https://demausmarsden.com).

With solid bulkheads made from air dried, seasoned oak in the front, middle and rear of the cabin gives the space a beautiful gypsy carriage aesthetic while providing so much stiffness that the rest of the cabin structure can be kept very light weight. The shaker style doors are made from Valchromat, a high performance organic particle board, with wonderfully textured brass hardware.

As well as having room for surfboards and dogs, Big Jim has also doubled up as a mobile office with a high-capacity electrical system, mobile 4G WIFI and two floating desks. For comfort in the evenings, we had a full size pull-out double bed fitted, heater, LPG hot water shower, oven/grill with 3 burner hob, full size sink, composting toilet, 100l water tank and pull-out 12v fridge.

Big Jim is well set up for all-season adventures. He is fully insulated, with a 4KW diesel heater, integrated thermal blinds and several fans and vents. And what makes him suitable for winter also helps to keep cool in summer, too- making him equally at home in the Alps, the Scottish Highlands or the Portuguese coastline.

We have only took Big Jim out a handful of times and with both of our busy careers and with our recent move to the countryside, it’s time to pass on this beauty to someone who will use it to its full potential.
