Our Citroen Relay (named Hester) was converted expertly by SSL Conversions in the New Forest in 2021 with no expense spared!
Designed for Luxury and Comfort:
Full Spruce timber cladding throughout.
191cm double bed.
Built in shower (with an extractor fan) with a Truma boiler keeping the water hot!
A Maxxair Fan to keep you cool on those summer nights!
An Eberspacher D2 Airtronic blown air diesel heater which operates in temperatures down to -40°C!
A Fiamma wind out awning so you can chill in the shade on those scorching days!
The rear doors also have barn door windows so you can wake up and enjoy the view, or open the doors to 180 degrees so you can watch the sunset from the comfort of your bed!
Perfect for days out:
Hester has 5 belted seats (3 up front, 2 in the back) for taking friends to the beach! Hester also doubles as a great changing room for putting on and taking off wetsuits (and warming up after a bracing swim)!
Go off Grid (even during winter!):
With two 100w solar panels and two lead acid 115ah batteries and a 1500 Watt inverter you can totally unplug and go off-grid for 3 or more days (depending on sunlight and energy consumption).
Hester is also fitted with an Epsolar MPPT controller to harness the sun’s energy charging both the engine and leisure batteries.
The van is also fully insulated with thermal bubble aluminium foil and rockwool sound insulation.
The water and waste tanks are winterized down to -20c, meaning you can take a trip up to the arctic circle and still have a hot shower!
Kitchen and Dining:
The Kitchenette includes a Smev 9222L combined 2-burner gas hob & sink, with glass lids set in an 120cm solid beech worktop, with extra extendable section if there are 2 cooks in the kitchen! There is also a 25 litre refillable LPG so you don’t need to worry about lugging Gas Canisters around.
You can keep your perishables in the Waeco CRX 50l fridge (with freezer section).
You can eat dinner outside under the awning or at the dinette area, where you can gaze out of the 900mm x 500mm tinted window.
The dinette area also converts into a couch, or a bed for a smaller person or furry friend!
Storage:
Storage in Hester is never going to be an issue, there are 4 floating cupboards, under seat storage in the back, a large cupboard under the sink, space above the cab, a secret storage compartment (!!!) for your valuables plus a whopping 2638 litres of space under the bed with internal and external access.

If you like music, you’ll love Hester.
With a Pioneer media unit in the front of the car and Bluetooth in the rear, whether you are stationary or on the go you can enjoy the full force of the four JL Audio C2-650X speakers embedded in the front and rear of the van!
