Lovely body work – she was given a full sand down and re-spray 6 months ago by a professional body work company
Originally a delivery van, Betty was bought and converted 3 years ago.
I bought her last summer and since then I have had all her van electrics serviced and carried out all the necessary mechanical work:
*new breaks – pads in ’22 , discs in ’23
*anti roll bars – May ’22
*new washer pump
*new rear springs – May ’23
*new handbrake cable
*Serviced twice with an oil change and engine clean.
*Very recent MOT (May ’23)
Add to this a complete re-spray – which is beautiful.
I am selling only because I need extra space for a European trip with my two adult daughters. Betty has been a very well looked after camper and in my mechanics words “She is a solid van’
I have reduced the price for a quick sale.
Driving Betty is an absolute joy as she is so smooth. She is responsive and as ‘nippy’ as a MWB van can be 🙂 She is happy pootling along or being exercised at 70mph on the motorway.
In the driving cab the original radio system has been replaced with a CARPLAY system which supports Apple and new Android phones. This means your phone data, along with googlemaps can be viewed on the bigger screen – making navigation a total breeze. This also has a rear view / reversing cam. Phonecalls can be made and texts / whatsapps are verbally transmitted.
Betty has 3 x 220w solar panels channeling 660w of solar power the most amazing Bluetti Power Oak expanding portable power station – once you’ve experienced one of these it’s really hard to go back to a split charge!!

This is a lithium based power source with built in inverter. It has an ECO mode which allows you to chose what power outsource you want to use (DC/AC) therefore, reserving energy.
The Bluetti is an amazing addition to Betty – I have never run out of power. It powers a fridge freezer unit, an induction hob which is built into the conversion and two built in phone mag-chargers.
With the Bluetti on I have a constant power source for my laptop etc
The display shows you the power input and output so you are always on top of what you have / need.
The controls are simple and uses coded errors making it easy to pinpoint any issues. I’ve never had to use these tho.
If you are having a break from wild camping and would like the option of an electric hook up – there is an external connection point on the side of the van

The conversion was carried out using light wood and cupboard units from B&Q . There is a plethora of storage space – ground and wall cupboards, larder space & garage space. Two thin floor cupboards hold the water supply and grey waste containers. Hopefully the photographs show you the extent of what storage space there is.
The van is fully insulated and has a brand new diesel heater installed. (March ’23)
Above the front seats but accessible from the conversion area there is a brilliant larder cupboard space which i have found so so useful. I have loved having this space for food storage. It’s out of the way and all in one place.

There are two seats either side of a light wood dining table. The seat on the left houses the diesel heater whilst the seat on the right has a good size storage space underneath.
Just behind the two seats there is a thin ledge housing 2 mag chargers ….. no need for dangling usb leads here!
The table itself slides out from underneath the double bed. It can be extended fully or half way out.
Under the table is a large drawer that stores the fridge freezer unit, and also has space to store cleaning equipment, or bottles etc
The static double bed is comfortable and has two wall mounted cupboards at the foot for clothes storage.
There are light switches to the left as you enter the van and also next to the bed for convenience. There are flush ‘ceiling’ lights and also low lighting for those more atmospheric moments …… There are also fairy lights 🙂
The conversion has black out blinds and curtains – if you need to get up early, set an alarm….. or sleep in you will!!!
To the rear of the van / conversion there is a large ‘garage’ space. The Bluetti and diesel heater fuel are housed here, leaving tons of space for extra camping equipment etc
In this garage space there is a full width table that slides out. You can use this to load up or have a meal on. Again, this is a really useful component of the conversion.
