Conversion Description

I am sadly selling my beloved 2007 Transit, converted by the previous owner in March of last year. No expense was spared on the build and it has been a dream to travel in.
The van spent most of its life as a breakdown assistance vehicle, until it was sold and then converted. Prior to the conversion in March 2024 it received a new prop shaft, gearbox was reconditioned and also the engine was replaced with one from a newer transit that had done 60,000. It also received a full service, new wiring loom, new front suspension arms, new spare wheel carrier, new gearbox mount, new van batteries, 4 wheel alignment and BF Goodrich tyres, including spare wheel.
After this the van was stripped out – including front seats for floor access for rust prevention.
It was serviced again in August of 2024 when I purchased the van and in March of this year.
MOT was August 2024 and passed first time.
Since owning the van we have replaced both the headlight and rear light units so they are brand new (and very bright). We also fitted a reversing camera that sits in place of a rear view mirror for extra help when reversing.

The van has a beautiful cosy and rustic interior with an unbelievable amount of storage. I lived in the van full time for 2 months without issue.

The Electrical system is sophisticated and reliable with every component being Victron energy, apart from the massive 2000W inverter that is made by another well esteemed company called Renogy. This allows you to use standard UK 3 pin plug devices up to a maximum of 2000W off grid. The van has 3 ways of charging the batteries: 230w solar panels mounted on the roof, DC/DC charger and also a shore plug-in (all Victron) There is also a separate double socket that works just off of shore power, so when the van is plugged in you can use these sockets to power your devices without using any energy from the leisure batteries.
The batteries are 2x 100ah AGM Victron supercycle batteries, which you are able to completely drain if needed and it won’t damage the batteries. They held up extremely well in cold temperatures throughout 2 months in the Alps. The Van also has the best of the best diesel heaters – Eberspacher, these are costly at around £2000 but are incredibly reliable.

Sony stereo with screen & apple car play up front.

The walls and rear doors are lined with recycled plastic bottle insulation.
Floor, ceiling and bulkhead are Celotex.
Maxxair fan with remote and 10 speeds, which works so well as an extractor fan and keeping the van cool.
I have a portable tempered glass gas hob included with a gas bottle. I actually found I preferred this over a fixed hob as it let me use the counter space when I wasn’t cooking that would have otherwise been taken up.

The Dometic Crx50 compressor fridge has also been amazing – these fridges are nearly silent.
Built into the worktop there is a big sink with an extendable swivel tap, 25L water and waste tanks underneath complete with water pump, accumulator and filter.

At the rear of the vehicle is my favourite feature – the unbelievably comfortable mattress – 9.5″ thick with 1000 pocket springs. A great benefit of the fixed bed is the massive amount of permanent storage you gain underneath. This was a non negotiable for me while travelling and living full time in the van. The floor throughout the camper is lined with thick rubber matting, as well as the overhead cab storage, which helps to stop things sliding around whilst on the move.
I can also include a big box of spare parts that was kept by the previous owner from the conversion.

It is the perfect starter van for anyone starting out on their van life journey! Any questions please don’t hesitate to ask.
