Bought this van Feb 2022 and converted to a high spec home from home. Moved in full time, trouble free, for 10 months and travelled the UK. Serviced ourselves along the way – being our home, having a healthy van was top priority. We moved into the van with the intention of saving money whilst having some adventure and now we’ve achieved our goal we’re ready to pass her on to her next loving owner.
Fully off grid van including:
240 hook up
2x 330w solar panels on roof
1x 200ah lithium battery
Victron blue smart ip22 battery charger
Victron smart dc to dc
2000w inverter
Through the summer we have never had to use hook up and ran solely on the solar using TV/Laptop/chargers/fans etc. During darker winter days we were more cautious with our power usage – dc to dc topped power up and always had the 240 hook up if needed.
Full insulation throughout with 50 and 25ml Kingsland
200l water tank supplying shower and kitchen sink
60l waste tank connected to shower, kitchen sink, and urine section of the toilet
Underslung 25l lpg tank with 3 gas shut offs – cooker/boiler/tank
Carbon monoxide alarm
Truma combi 4e – for hot water and heating on lpg or hook up
Self built Compost toilet with fan
Max Air fan in roof
Max Air ventilation fan next to shower
Thetford lpg oven/grill/4 hob stove
Montpellier 12v fridge freezer
Smart TV
4x 240 plug sockets
6x 12v USB ports
LED strip lights on 3 separate switches
Oak worktops
4 large kitchen drawers
4 large chest of drawers
Wardrobe with top and bottom rail
9 overhead cupboards
1 large overcab storage
Climb through to cab for emergency
Shoe storage compartment/seat
2 underseat sofa storage compartments for bedding
U shaped sofa with oak dining table to match worktops
Sofa becomes 6ft (bigger than double) bed
Fold down sundeck at the back
Small boot storage with coat hooks and external hose
After spending 10 months in this van through both a very hot summer and very cold/wet winter, we’re very pleased to have had no problems with the van or build considering her mileage. We’ve loved our Rita and hope you love her too!
Available for viewings any time and please email with questions. Thanks, James & Mel.
