Transit Connect LWB 2016 Limited Spec 28k Miles
Close to immaculate condition, 28K miles and drives like new. It’s an absolute pleasure to drive and really does just feel like a car, and has bluetooth/SYNC phone audio connectivity, air con and rear parking sensors. Was bought fully serviced from TrustFord Ashton in Bristol with extended warranty which runs out this July but will be sold with a fresh MOT from them. I wish I could keep it but hope somebody will make some incredible memories with it this summer!
This van has the comfiest sofa seat that I have ever sat on in a van! The fact that the back is high enough to rest your head on means it is actually comfier than many peoples’ sofas at home, and it also makes an excellent bed. You will be able to see some pictures on here but please look at my facebook or instagram for the full effect.
The bed has a little loop of cord fixed to the middle section you pull via a pulley to help it start folding up, and at the same time push back the drawer runner which supports the front section. It clicks into the folded position and that’s it! Then if it’s a rainy day you can sit inside to chill out, cook up a feast or make some tasty hot beverages with the kitchen raised, or lower it to create a coffee table, footstool or extra bench for comfortable sheltered seating for 4, with an Autoterm 2D diesel heater to keep you toasty if needed.
Obviously you’ll hoping for sun though! In which case the kitchen slides out the side and the left-hand lid can be folded over 180 degrees to create a large stainless heatproof surface for food prep or a table for when sitting down.
The kitchen houses a campingaz 904 gas cylinder, 12L fresh water tank, 10L waste tank and water pump as well as a little bit of storage and a lift-out cubby which reveals access to the gas bottle and fresh tank from above.
The kitchen is made from birch plywood and solid oak edging, counter and lids, all treated with hard wax oil for a durable water-repellent finish. The upper half of the build is all birch ply, treated with Danish oil and the lower sections are green Forbo Marmoleum flooring and oak edging finished with linseed oil.
Under the bed I was sure to keep the width over 1200mm so accommodate standard dimension euro containers (2x 600mm width or 3x 400mm width) or fit a bike under there if needed!

Fogstar 20a mains charger with hookup point underneath and 240v plugs for use with shore power only.
Sterling BB1240 DC-DC charger (40 amp)
Maxxdome fan with LEDs right above to draw out smells and water vapour and provide task-lighting
Autoterm 2D diesel heater with comfort controller.
5x 20 amp charger cigarette lighter outputs (future-proofed to accept increasingly powerful fast chargers as they are released)
1x cigarette lighter socket under bed which is switched from control panel, intended for 12v fridge if desired (there are a few which will fit under there).
6x individually touch-on/off and touch-dimmable warm LED spotlight in ceiling, also with master switch
6x small LED spotlights in cubbies to see what’s in there and to provide ambient lighting

Folding standard small double (190cm x 120cm) so can be used with off-the-shelf mattress toppers and fitted sheets, the bed folds up with these on which makes an incredibly comfortable sofa seat and means you don’t have to make the bed every night and find somewhere to stow the bedding every morning!
