Overview

Looking for a slice of rural West Country life? Elm Farm delivers exactly that. This smallholding in Cornwall offers camping fields with uninterrupted views across Laity Moor towards the distinctive hills of Carn Brea and Carn Marth.

Tucked away in the peaceful Nancekuke Valley, yet only a 10-minute drive from the shops and pubs of Redruth, the site’s grass pitches are set around the edges of two spacious, tree-lined meadows. This layout leaves plenty of open space in the centre, giving children a safe area to play.

Food is easy to sort during your stay. You can hire a firepit and buy logs on site for barbecues, or head to the on-site café if you’d rather not cook.

If you’re keen to explore, the owners are a great source of local knowledge and can recommend countryside and coastal walks. Bikes are also available to hire if you fancy exploring the quiet Cornish lanes. Keep an eye out for wildlife too — buzzards and barn owls are common, and you may even spot foxes, badgers or stoats.

Facilities include clean drinking water and an amenities block with solar lighting and a constant supply of hot water. There’s also an additional toilet near the café, just a short walk up the hill.
