South Penquite Farm is a peaceful, family-run campsite set on a 200-acre organic beef and sheep farm high on Bodmin Moor in Cornwall. It offers unmarked grass pitches for tents and campervans (no electric hook-ups) with plenty of space, and allows a limited number of dogs in a dedicated field. The site embraces eco-friendly practices such as rainwater harvesting, solar-heated showers and a small wind turbine, and farm animals like horses, ponies, chickens, ducks and turkeys wander freely, adding to the rural experience. There are clean toilet and shower facilities, a kids’ play area and a communal veranda with a fridge/freezer and washing up area. Glamping options include cosy yurts with wood-burning stoves and a bunkhouse for larger groups. Visitors can enjoy campfires, home-produced lamb burgers and sausages, and scenic walks over the moor, with beaches, pubs and local attractions like the Eden Project and Tintagel Castle within easy driving distance.
