Great condition inside and out. Previous life as a SMART dent and paint repair works van – so hasn’t been a building or multi-drop van! A few minor dents in places visible in the photos, notably the back doors. Some stone chips on bonnet. Clean underneath, no rust.
Bertie is a 2016 medium wheelbase silver Mercedes Sprinter we purchased off a lovely couple who converted it 3 years ago. They used him for some great European adventure just like we have! Unfortunately, we have now finished our travels and it is time to pass Bertie on to a new owner who can continue his journey!
The van really has been converted to a great standard. I have many conversion photos that the previous owner took during the every stage of the conversion process which show the detail and quality of the build. Even down to the materials used and a description as well. We are more than happy to pass these on to the new owner.
We have continued to convert him to make some changes to suit our lifestyle including a rock and roll style bed so we had more room so we could continue to work remotely, comfortably from him on our trips away.
During the build a lot of time was spent figuring out the perfect layout to maximise space, prepping the van and building everything (apart from installing the two windows on the sides which was installed by a professional!) . We are super happy with the conversion and have loved taking him on trips the past year.
Layout:
* Bulkhead to separate the cab from the living area – we thought it was important to keep it in, for safety purposes if we were to ever get into an accident. There is a cutout, which can be used to get through if there were ever to be a situation where that was needed. We have made a blind for privacy when the front window covers are not in place.
* Kitchen with solid oak worktop, sink with domestic tap, fridge, portable induction hob, plenty of pantry storage and Dometic Mini-Heki sky light
* Living space finished with an Oak engineered wood floor throughout
* U shape seating that converts to a Full sized double bed, the rock and roll bed acts as a sofa in the day.
– Lagun Swivel Table
– Yale Safe
– Storage under seats
– 115L water tank for topping up the Water tank and outdoor showering.
* Four overhead storage cupboards
* MaxxAir fan above the bed
*
5kw diesel heater (more info below)
