Detailed Information
Vehicle Description

This van has been our pride and joy for the last six years, so putting it up for sale is very bittersweet.

We converted it ourselves in 2020, creating a bright, practical little home on wheels that has since taken us on two incredible trips around Europe, as well as countless weekends and adventures closer to home around Scotland and the rest of the UK. Some of our happiest family memories have been made in this van.

It started life as our camper for two and has grown with us into a family camper. The three original Peugeot cab seats and flexible dinette have meant we’ve been able to keep adventuring with a little one. With our family growing again, the time has come for us to pass on our van for someone else to hopefully continue to make special memories.

The layout was designed to make the most of the compact L2H2 footprint. There’s a permanent double bed, separate three-person dining area, kitchen and plenty of storage, without needing to make up the main bed every night. We’ve found it a great balance between having everything we need inside while still being small enough to drive, park and explore comfortably.

The conversion has a bright, modern white, sage green and natural wood interior and was very much built to be used and enjoyed. It is a genuine DIY conversion rather than a professional build, so after six years of adventures there are signs of family life and areas where the finish isn’t perfect. We’ve described those honestly below.

We’d love for it to go to someone who’ll get as much enjoyment and adventure out of it as we have.

VEHICLE
* 2018 Peugeot Boxer L2H2
* 2.0 BlueHDi 130
* Manual
* Approx. 51,000 miles
* 2 owners

* Air conditioning
* Cruise control
* Sat nav

The cab is in very good used condition for the vehicle’s age and mileage.

Conversion Description

LIVING & DINING
The separate dinette comfortably seats three around a removable table.

The table can be removed and folded away when it isn’t needed, opening up more floor space.

The living area has opening camper windows fitted with integrated blinds and flyscreens, along with two skylights and a wall-mounted ventilation fan, making the van feel bright and airy inside.

A curtain separates the living area from the cab, with removable reflective cab window covers providing additional privacy and insulation at night.

KITCHEN
The kitchen includes:

* 2-burner gas hob
* Dometic Waeco CRX50 12V compressor fridge
* Belfast-style sink
* Shurflo electric water pump
* Pull-out extendable tap/hose
* Solid wood worktop
* Fold-up additional worktop across the doorway for extra food-prep space
* 3 storage drawers
* 70L fixed fresh-water tank over the wheel arch
* Approx. 30L removable grey-water container under the sink

The pull-out tap is particularly handy when camping for rinsing muddy shoes, outdoor equipment or paddleboards outside the van.

There is no hot-water system.

LPG & HEATING

The van has a professionally installed underslung refillable LPG system, with an external filling point.

LPG supplies the 2-burner hob and Propex heater.

Please note: the Propex heater is currently experiencing a fault and should be considered non-working when purchasing the van.
We generally camp using the 240v hook-uo and find that a small electric heater is very efficient to warm the whole van throughout winter.

We’d ideally love to have it repaired before sale, but with a new baby arriving very soon we can’t guarantee we’ll have the opportunity. The asking price therefore assumes the heater is non-working and requires repair / use of electric hookup.

The Gas hob is operational.

ELECTRICS
The camper has a substantial solar and electrical setup including:

* 300W roof-mounted solar
* Victron MPPT solar controller
* 2 x 115Ah AGM leisure batteries (230Ah total capacity)
* Victron Blue Smart IP22 12V 20A Bluetooth battery charger
* 500W 12V Sunshine Power pure sine wave inverter
* External 240V electric hookup
* 1 x 230V socket
* 3 x USB charging points
* Integrated LED ceiling lighting
* 2 x LED reading lights above the bed
* External awning light above the sliding door

The leisure batteries can be charged from the solar panels or via 240V hookup using the Victron Blue Smart charger. The Victron charger also has Bluetooth connectivity for monitoring and configuration through the VictronConnect app.

There is no alternator/B2B charging system.

STORAGE
There is a large storage/garage area underneath the permanent rear bed. It provides plenty of space for camping and family equipment.

We’ve comfortably used it for a baby’s pram alongside multiple storage boxes containing extra food, kids bike, cables, hoses, outdoor equipment, toys and other family essentials.

There’s additional storage throughout the living area, including:

* Overhead cabinetry
* Large shelf at the foot of the bed
* Kitchen cupboard and drawer storage
* Storage within the cab bulkhead
* Storage underneath the dinette seating
* Dedicated storage space for the portable toilet

For an L2H2, we’ve found the amount of storage incredibly practical. We travelled around Europe for five weeks with our 10-month-old and comfortably carried everything the three of us needed for life on the road.

TOILET & WASHING
A Thetford Porta Potti Qube 335 portable cassette toilet is neatly stored inside one of the dinette box seats and pulls out when required.

The extendable kitchen tap/hose can be pulled outside through the sliding door and is useful for rinsing muddy shoes, equipment, paddleboards and similar items.

INSULATION & INTERIOR
The walls, ceiling and floor were fully insulated during the conversion using a mixture of insulation board, wool and foam. We’ve found the insulation very effective in use.

The interior includes:

* Vinyl flooring
* Timber-clad walls and ceiling
* Integrated LED lighting
* Opening camper windows with integrated blinds and flyscreens
* 2 skylights with blinds and flyscreens
* Wall-mounted ventilation fan
* CO detector
* Fire extinguisher
* Fire blanket

CONDIITON
This is a used, self-built family camper, and we’re keen to describe its condition accurately.

The interior is in good used condition but would benefit from some cosmetic paint touch-ups. As a DIY conversion, the cabinetry and woodwork don’t have the precision finish of a professional conversion and there are imperfections and signs of use.

Externally, there is a minor dent at the rear and cosmetic damage to one of the plastic bumper sections caused by scraping against a wall. The plastic has split, but the damage is cosmetic.

There are no known rust issues and the van has no accident history.

As described above, the Propex heater is currently faulty. The van is being advertised and priced on the basis that the heater is non-working and may require repair.

Otherwise, the van has recently been serviced, requires no known mechanical work and passed its most recent MOT with no advisories.

A FEW THINGS TO KNOW
To make sure there are no surprises for potential buyers:

* The conversion is DIY rather than professionally built.
* The Propex heater is currently non-working. We use a portable electric heater in winter.
* There is cosmetic damage to a rear plastic bumper section and a minor rear dent.
* The leisure batteries charge through solar or 240V hookup.

We’ve tried to be as open as possible about its imperfections. It’s been a much-loved and well-used family camper rather than a show van, and it’s ready for its next owners to make their own adventures and memories in it.

Beds Description

The main bed is a permanent 135cm x 190cm double, with a very comfortable memory foam mattress.

Because the bed stays permanently made up, there’s no need to rearrange the living space each evening.

The dinette/box seating can also provide sleeping space for a child. We’ve used this with our toddler, including placing a small toddler tent on top of the seating. An older child could sleep directly across the seating with an appropriate bed guard.

We would describe the van as 2 berth plus child sleeping space.

There’s a skylight directly above the main bed, along with ceiling spotlights and two LED reading lights.
