The Van has a 2464 CC engine with a “Quickshift6” system is a 6-speed manual gearbox combined with an automated module that controls the clutching and gear-changing operations, offering both a semi-automatic and a full automatic mode. – I copied this description from the internet but in simple terms the van does not have a clutch pedal and can be driven on an automatic license however has the flexibility of being driven on manual if the driver would prefer to do so. I had an upgrade done to the electronics to make it smoother creeping up hills/ on hill starts and this has been a lifesaver in Cornwall!
Registered as a light good vehicle.
It was MOT’d in October and took a couple of runs to get through emissions as I had been travelling for 5 weeks and not driven it. It will be in regular use until sold. There is an advisory for ‘Nearside Front Inner Drive shaft joint’ to be replaced’. Quote from my garage to repair this is between £100-150
The original 3 seats at the front have been replaced with mini cooper seats by a previous owner. This makes driving much more comfortable and allows for a lot of space in the cab. I store my bin and chiller in the van for ease of access when driving. You can walk straight from the van to the back of the van.
I bought the van partially converted (it was insulated and had a single bed in the back). I took it to Vangosh conversions in Penryn to have a diesel heater and the woodwork professionally installed earlier this year. All paperwork is provided for this conversion.
The conversion also maximises storage, the three large cabinets have lids that lift off and the two mall ones at the front allow easy accessable storage from the side. There is also two large storage spaces under the bed which are accessible from the rear of the van.
The bed easily converts into a sofa or a double.
I wanted to maximise light in the van so have added curtains to the front and back that are on poppers so can be completely removed or tucked away when driving. All curtains are handmade and black out. This keeps the heat in at night and the sun out in the morning. All side windows are black out for privacy however the rear windows are not to enable ease when parking.
The main body of the van has two small sliding windows in stop lock so these can be left open at night without fear of anyone being able to break in.
The van has a solid rhino roof rack and stairs that can be used for a balcony when watching sunsets or for extra storage. There is a roller in places for easily removing surf boards etc.
The van will come with a portable cooker which allows for the option of cooking inside or out. I have been using a portable power station for the van which I will not be selling with it as I use this station for my caddy for day trips. The new owner will need to consider this will purchasing the van.
I am hoping the next owner gets as much joy out of this van as I have. It is a reluctant sale but my family is growing and I need a bigger van.
There is a set single bed that folds out into a double over the width of the van. This comfortable sleeps two people 5’6, I would advise anyone taller than this check measurements first as you may prefer to sleep length ways.
